Why are there so many people botting?

I have been playing beginner and intermediate bot games because I get tired of so much complaining and the like in PVP. Since I have been playing against bots, every single game has had at least one botter in it. I have reported all of the botters that I have played with, but it seems that there are still so many out there that are botting, I am making no difference. Are my reports not doing anything or should I put some secret code into the comment section when I report someone for botting, something actually happens? Please help.

This game used to be so much more fun when there were actually FIVE people sitting behind a computer and inputting commands to achieve the goal of victory. Now, it is me and maybe 2-3 more live people trying to win and the bots just sit in the jungle and do nothing.

Again, Riot, please help or at least reassure me that this botting thing is actually being taken care of. Thank you.

The mode’s dead due to neglect. Riot hasn’t touched it in years. They refuse to acknowledge or to fix the game breaking issues that plague it, and they just let the botted accounts go until they’re sold off before taking action (if ever).

Riot bans the bots in waves. It makes it harder for the bot developer to know what got them caught.

While it's tougher for you in the immediate timeframe, it is better for the game in the long run.

Sorry that you have to endure through this and I can't offer you a better solution other than "wait".

With League being primarily a PvP experience, I think Riot is satisfied to keep the bots in co-op vs AI modes and protect the core of the game from them. Bots in AI games suck, but at least you can still band together and win the game. Bots finding their way into a PvP Summoner's Rift match ruins the game for 9 people.

It's a huge gap from being perfect, but it's a reality of the F2P model. I think most effective methods of ridding the game of bots for good would involve some sort of up-front investment of money per account, which Riot's unlikely to ever implement.
