Why did I get chat restricted
So I was playing a game as talon mid, and our team was average (about 4/3 most of us) and we had a teemo (shall remain unnamed) who was 3/8 at the time. He decided to be toxic, which the convo going mainly like this: (my quotes taken exactly from logs) T:report talon completely useless Myself: “dude you’re 3/8 you’re the most useless here” Teammate: he’s doing fine M: “I never said he wasn’t doing fine” T: you’re doing trash you’re useless (At this point Warwick pings allied blue) (T: don’t or I’ll int) T: I’m carrying you noobs M: “you don’t roam” M: “useless to team” T: I’m at inhib stfu noob I’m Carrying all of you (at this point I had inhib turret at 1/2health) M: “not really” M: “you’re just keeping garen busy” M: “I haven’t seen you out of lane once” M: “so zip it noob” M: “no map awareness” M: “no objective” M: “saying you’ll int without blue” M: “trash teammate” T: when did I say I’d int M: “vro it’s in trash” (chat) M: “you’d said you’d int if ww took his own blue” T: I never said that re__d stfu you’re useless as f_ (We take drake without him) M: “I just did about half of drake with my attacks sooo” T: still trash noob (We take another drake) M: “oh look another thing you didn’t help with” T: stfu •string of insults including “kill yourself” Enemy team asks about teemo M (responding): “ he refuses to help with objectives, constantly trash talking, and said hell int if we took our blue” (Break) T: omg you’re so trash I already have inhib, call me noob, say sorry and I’ll end (still hadn’t left their lane) M: “what hav e you done since then?” M: “nothing” (At this point we lose as they 5man mid and teemo sits next to inhib not attacking) T: trash team M: “report teemo” (Throughout the game I was polite to everyone else, complimenting plays our team made, responding in all chat “f** you blitz XD” once when he landed a great hook on me killing me, as well as helping the rest of my team when I could)
Now don’t get me wrong, I know I could’ve handled it better, however he was being toxic towards the whole team, while I was responding to him, yet I get chat restrict, but he doesn’t get any penalty (no feedback report). Why is it that I got punished for saying what I did, but he didn’t get punished for saying worse? I don’t understand how this works.
(I omitted the rest of the chat because as I said, the rest of my messages to allies or enemies weren’t toxic and aren’t relevant here)
Am I missing something here?
