How does the ban system work

If anyone can tell me in complete detail how the ban system for league of legends works I would greatly appreciate it. Everything from how many times can you be banned before a perma, if there is a perma, how many times must you be reported to be banned, how is your punishment determined, do positive feed backs on your account out weigh negative, can you dispute a ban and if so how?

If people don't like your attitutde, they can report you. If you were mean to them, rito can punish you. Punishments scale. They go

  • 10 game chat restriction
  • 25 game
  • 14 day ban
  • permaban

Positive behavior does play a part, but a couple games outburst will outweigh it.

Sure, you can dispute a ban if you'd like to. It's honestly a waste of time, though, because rito isn't going to overturn it if it was for being "toxic".

Punishment tiers:

First time you get away with a warning pop-up for a minor offense 10 game chat restriction 25 game chat restriction 14 day ban Permanent ban

Number of reports doesn't matter. Just that they are valid reports. If you get a certain ammount of valid reports they get reviewed. When reviewed only your actions are taken into account and no one elses in the game. If someone provoked you and you started flaming each other only you will be judged. That is why riot recommends muting toxic people and reporting them after the game, you might say something that could potentially be punishable.

Your punishments will allways go up by one tier unless for racism, homophobia, extreme harassment etc... Then they might skip to ban tiers.

After you get a punishment your account is in bad standing for ~3 months ( the last i checked but could be less ), and after that it drops by one tier. While your account is in bad standing, reports against you will be taken more seriously and reviewed faster so you have to be carefull. After you drop all the tiers your account is in good standing. Positive feedbacks to my knowledge do not necessarily outweigh negative. Once you are banned you will be presented with chat logs the punishment was based on. You can dispute a ban by submiting a ticket to support, but those are only reversed if it was riots mistake. There is no returning a rightfully banned account.

I think i covered all of your questions. Hope this helps you.

Actually its an immediate 2 week ban if Riot suspects you of feeding, or a perm-ban.

Other than that just /mute all, Don't talk in games and you won't get banned for chat toxicity.

what i dont get is this you have the option not only to mute everyone if you get tilted easily but also a chat filter that is there for you to use if you are easily offended. If someone is being offensive you wont even know unless you disabled that in which case you obviously put yourself in a position to get harassed and also i dont understand how can people get so offended from someone flaming them or telling them to kill themself as if they will listen and do it. Just grow up and stop being so offended from everything. If i go in the street and tell someone fuck you nothing will happen but if i do it here i get suspended because for someone it was way too much.

it goes from, 5 games 5 mins less, 5 games 10 mins less, 5 games 20 mins less, and then 25 game chat restriction, and 14 day suspension, then it goes straight to perma ban. Learned it the hard way ;c
