Why we should bring back tribunal.

Apparently the reasoning behind replacing the Tribunal with an automated system is because "it wasn't working fast enough" or something like that, because not enough people were participating.

Well, call me crazy, but I'm of the opinion that if someone is going to complain about something (toxicity) and then refuse to do something about the thing they are complaining about when given the option (participate in tribunal), too bad. If you want to get rid of toxicity and you have the tools to do so through the Tribunal, but you go "naaaaaah that's way too much work." then you obviously don't care enough about it.

People who complain about things and refuse to do something to change them when given the chance deserve to suffer in my opinion.

When Tribunal was active I came home every day from school and spent about 30 mins going over reports, because I cared, and wanted to do something about it. Since I was against toxicity, and it bothered me, I chose to use the tools I was given to make a difference.

Not only was the tribunal slow, it was also less accurate than the current system.

This...Doesn't really address the issue of too few players participating in the Tribunal. All you're doing is saying "if people really cared about toxicity, they'd participate in the Tribunal", which completely ignores players who do care about toxicity but would not/could not otherwise participate, and really doesn't serve as a reliable argument for bringing back the Tribunal, either; if your assumption is that people don't care, then why would the Tribunal be brought back?

Additionally, low participation rate wasn't the only issue with the Tribunal. I can't speak to how accurate it was, as insomniacjezz put forward, but I know that on top of the low participation rates, attempts to influence participation (I.E, incentivizing it) caused cases to be swayed towards unanimous punishment for the sake of getting easy rewards.

Ultimately, the IFS is just all-around a better system than the Tribunal, and this thread doesn't really give any compelling reasons to bring the latter back.

If you are thinking that the tribunal wouldn't punish for minor toxicity, then you are not entirely correct.

The current IFS uses the data obtained from the tribunal and it showed that majority of the players didn't want consistent minor toxicity in their games. 1 or 2 games of minor toxicity, people would pardon, anything more than that started showing more signs of will to punish.

Thats your reason to bring back the tribunal? You didnt even solve the problem with it. You just said oh its too slow? Well then too bad. Lol. There was no solution. It will still be too slow.
