Why do people report for trying to surrender?
I'm an efficient guy, I like to surrender when the game is stacked against my team. I totally understand people who want to play out every match. And it's true, probably 10% of the game I try to FF, we end up turning the game around and winning. But while I try hard in ranked, I also don't like to spend time getting stomped again and again for 20 minutes until the enemy team decides to end. I'd rather lose those extra matches and get onto the next game.
So there are games where I will start a surrender vote every time it refreshes. People can vote no. I usually don't even comment, at least never more than an "can we FF please" although if someone asks "why" I'll defend my reason, e.g. "They're grouping better" or "This Xin is too big, he can 5v1 us" etc.
Often this results in allchat calls by teammates to report me for "giving up" or being toxic, despite the fact that while surrendering is inherently "negative" it's part of the game and I don't stop trying to play if the vote fails.
