About account sharing

Okay, so, I'd like a bit of an explanation on the whole account sharing being against the rules deal. It makes sense that you shouldn't be able to sell or trade accounts, or share them with friends of yours, but does this apply to wanting to share your account with your SO?

EDIT: Even if they casually play, to the point where they don't want to make an account?

EDIT 2: It's been brought up that I "don't want to play with her" on a multiplayer game. It's not that, but I simply don't play much anymore and she does. Although, I do see how making another account in case I ever wanted to play LoL with her would be smart.

Even with normals, her playing with your account messes up your MMR. Say she loses some games, that hurts the teammates you were matched with having a subpar player on their team since the MM system doesn't know she's not as good as you.

Then you come into games with an MMR lower than your skill, hurting the players on the other team playing against someone they shouldn't be.

TOS or not, it's a bad thing to do.

I'm not encouraging breaking the rules, but I think you know the right thing to do.

So you want them to play League, a multiplayer game, without you. [zombie-brand-facepalm]

To add To Wuks's post, the info is in part B (Game Assets, Riot Points and Virtual Items) of section IV Ownership in the ToS.

Effectively, you are renting an account and adding value through your purchases.

I don't know how to make my own thread, but I have somewhat of a suggestion too. From recently getting hacked and almost banned, I learned how cruddy the security system is and how it REALLY needs to be improved. The only thing that can further the security is the email verification. I think that players should have the OPTION to further improve their security through questions and more in depth stuff to fill out when the email address is going to be moved.

I'm no lawyer but I would have to assume a legal will would supersede the ToU.

Player A is Challenger. Player B is Bronze.

Player A dies, will's account to Player B.

There would be a lawsuit somewhere to decide this. The game's ToU vs a will would be argued.

Technically you are not "sharing" the account as Player B would now be the sole user.

There is a n orange button top left on the page visible even when just reading threads...press this write a title and then put a comment in the 3 box I think :) Hope that helps if you ever feel like making a discussion, but that up to you :)

as far as I know,

as long as nobody else plays ranked games on your account you're good

since people playing normals is not boosting in any way
