I'd just like to share a quote from reddit on exactly how well Riot's system works. (Note: I'm not here bitching about an account I lost, simply find this topic interesting) To me it perfectly exemplifies what this system does (which, in my opinion is what logic dictates it would do), and the lack of improvement the LoL ecosystem gets from it.

So if he's not reformed, why should we trust anything he's saying? He's toxic: he'll say whatever he wants to piss off other people.

If he wants to fund scripters and lose out on money that he's invested into the account(s), there's not really a whole lot Riot can do to stop that. If anything, he doesn't sound like he's legitimately enjoying the game.

Personally, I'd prefer taking the middle man out and just throwing the cash into the trash.

I don't really know what you mean by "gaping hole". This exploit exists for every single F2P game due to the simple fact that it's free to create an account.

If someone is so determined that they are willing to constantly start over and over simply to be a troll constantly, there is nothing that can be done to effectively stop them in this game or any F2P game. They are determined to be annoying.

He says Riot is the one losing here, but Riot likely doesn't even know about his existence since he's just one person out of millions. So the best he's accomplishing is he's wasting his own time and money effectively accomplishing nothing. I find it amazing that there are people out there that spend so much time and effort to be an asshole for the sake of being an asshole. They are outliers thankfully, not even close to the usual case of how a reasonable human behaves.

Seems like a miserable way to play the game, and to live one's life. ~5 month lifespan on the account, requiring re-ranking and re-unlocking champs and skins after every iteration? All in service to what, maintaining one's privilege to be a dick? Sucks that this gap in security exists, but I'm not convinced an endless cycle of burning accounts for the sake of being toxic is an option that many people are going to take.

Plus, what level are these purchasable accounts? When level 30 was the max, it was one thing. But if the accounts are only botted to 30, Riot's security will have an easier and easier time honing in on the accounts to ban, now that players who can actually color between the lines have accounts level 50+.

To date: there are millions of video games an individual can play.

You may think you are making an impact and "Putting it to the man" By intentionally ruining games in league, but realistic, you are irrelevant. You are a single person among MILLIONS. It's simply not practical to waste your time on a game you are not enjoying simply to "hurt riot"

I mean, yeah the guy's an idiot, wasting his life unquestionably. But just because it isn't your job to make the ecosystem better doesnt mean it's nobody's. Im much less focused on why that guys a loser, and more focused on the fact that theres one of him every couple ranked games.
