You don't always get a notification when a punishment goes out. This used to happen more often, and people started using it to abuse the system by harassing punished players in-client. It is not acceptable to insult someone's family on League, but is is also not appropriate to respond in a way that violates the rules.

about the title, 1 report is equal to 9 reports, you must have been on thin ice already

This post is like a bingo card of problems with a lot of other player behaviour posts.

  1. "PLAYERS IN GROUPS TO ALL REPORT ONE PERSON" - Reports don't stack, so this does nothing.

  2. "received a chat ban for me reacting to someone talking poorly about my family" - You don't get banned for what others say, you get banned for what you say.

  3. " why I am not notified when they get chat banns" - You do not always receive a notification that someone you have reported has been banned. (Which I'm kind of thankful for, because I play this game a lot and thus have a lot of encounters that require reporting, and my client would be overwhelmed with notifications)

  4. "please fix your client riot" - The automated punishment system that reports go through is not within the client in any way. You use the client to report someone, and the client is used to relay to someone that they have received a punishment, however, the actual processes are done on Riot servers, off of the client.

  5. "is it okay talk poorly about somones mother?" - Meaningless poll that does not further the discussion in any way.

  6. "____" - This is where the chat logs would go... IF I HAD THEM!! - Timmy's Dad

BINGO!!! [sg-ahri-2]

does it affect your family? no. its unacceptable to be insulting someone's family, but you shouldn't talk back rudely and with questionable words.

example, at a jewelry store, someone calls my mother a skank, I call him a %%%% and a fuck nugget that deserves to die, are his words acceptable? no, but neither are mine.

point being, you have a mute button, if someone is insulting you or your relatives, just mute them.

please fix your client riot

how does this have anything to do with the client? tf? the notifications received for feedback doesn't always show up, it's not supposed to be an "oh hey, you got someone banned"

What does your topic have to do with your title?

Its not the place to talk about it. We are here to play a game not to hear sombodys personal life. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

(Side note) you are free to talk about in on the boards though.

Without the ability for their report to be taken as seriously as any other report, the system would have to discard every report from people who also broke the rules.

That would mean, very specifically, that the person who made your game worse would not be punished, because it was you who reported them, and you also broke the rules.

LEAVE A COMMENT... It's 2019. Your family's honor is not damaged by what someone running their mouth in a video game says about them.

You had the tool to stop it - the mute button. Instead you brought dishonor on your family by raising to the bait.

First question, no. Second question, depends what your response is. As to why someone can report you after flaming you all game, and it be taken seriously, its because there are rules, and if you break the rules Riot will take it seriously. So it doesnt matter if he broke the rules, if you report him, he will be punished. But it doesnt mean he cant report anyone just because he broke the rules too. You can always report. All that matters is who broke what rules. Theres nothing you can say that will make the system ignore your reports.
