Racism in League of Legends

Racism is probably not a new topic in League (nor in any other online video games), but it is totally getting out of hands. I'm just here to tell you guys my experience as a League foreign player.

I've lived in California for over 3 years now so my English is pretty fluent. However, my duo is a friend from my country. She does not really speak English much. So every time we duo, we want to communicate with each other in Vietnamese. We climb together to Plat through this communication method. (We know our language can be irritating, so we don't chit chat. We only talk about movements and strategies)

The problem is, every time we start speaking Vietnamese to each other in the game, at least one of our teammate will be bothered. He will have to say things like "can you guys speak English please?", "Wth is that language?", "Stop with the weird symbols", "%%%%%%%%%%% bing bong", etc.

But those aren't the worst, there are a few things our teammates have said that we still remember to this day:

"I guess your kind isn't best at League." "Don't you hate when your teammate start ruining the game by speaking in animal language" "Go back to your F-ing server." "[All chat] Can't play well with a bunch of savages." "You are playing on our server, there are certain rules, follow or get the F out." "I understand why Whites want people deported." "F-ing skin." (he was being racist earlier, so this is not as referred to the champion skin) "Our server doesn't want you." "[All chat] Was having a great day until a bunch of bing bong ruined it." "Stfu N*." (but I'm Asian) (there are a lot more, I just wish I wrote them down, oh well probably for the best)

Often time after a teammate starts being racist, I and my friend will mute the player immediately. Unfortunately, we still can see his chat after the game is over. (If we didn't mute them right away, there probably would be a lot more quote Lol)

Many times when the games start, I would give my teammate a heads-up by letting them know we eventually will communicate to each other in Vietnamese, if they think they are going to be bothered, please mute us. Very often a teammate will say he is cool about it, but later in the game, because he wants to flame, will start being extremely racist. In many games, all of the 3 other players will team up and be racist towards us.

I know joining in an online community means I am going to meet all kinds of people, but the players we have met have totally crossed the line. My friend is thinking to leave the game because she can't stand the hate towards her (she is very sensitive and emotional, great Jgler tho). I just wish there was a more effective way to punish these players other than a report.
