Account compromised.

Hey guys. Was trying to come back from a hiatus of not playing league since march-ish (It's hard to play on NA server when you live in Japan) and just saw my account was compromised and permanently banned for flaming my team mates. Guess I was just wondering, does Riot support actually look at tickets and investigate, or should I just expect a canned response and have to make a new account?

Just a little perturbed right now since my password wasn't changed, so that means someone has my info on other websites potentially as well.

Looking at my performance chart http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/35830029/Symbol#profile , you can see I played a bit in Feb-Mar, then there was a game Apr 4. I think I was in the field on an exercise during this time, but my dates might be a bit off. Then sporadic games from mid-May to now which I had no part in.

Here's the chat log for those curious: https://pastebin.com/VQRiypvQ Hopefully you guys can tell that's not how I type in game, grammar or verbage.

It's clearly the draven game that was played 9 hours ago (5-6 am my time..... lol), so sorry to that shen, rengar and fiora that dealt with the abuse.

But yeah. Don't use the same password on multiple websites like I did. Use an anti-virus. Yadda yadda.

Immediately change your password for League, your connected email, and any accounts that have the same username and/or password as either of the before.

After that, log in to your account, submit a ticket asking to discuss the ban/lock. Mention that your account was compromised and that you have regained control of it.

Further, log out and submit a "my account has been compromised" ticket, to ensure Riot support sees that your account has been compromised and that you are the true owner.

Given both of these, they may remove your ban as a one-time goodwill gesture and on the understanding that further unauthorized activity will not be forgiven. They have done this before, but in cases they have not, so it is totally their discretion, but it's worth a shot.

Chermorg gave you a good answer, but I still want to give you my copy-paste to ensure all bases are covered so that you are provided all the information you need on this;

Sorry to hear your account was compromised. Please follow all of the steps below to regain control of your League of Legends account and reverse any unwanted actions that the individual who compromised your account may have taken:

  1. Run a complete anti-virus scan on your computer and remove any malware that is detected. If you don't have an anti-virus program, I recommend downloading either MalwareBytes Free or ESET NOD32 with a free 30 day trial. Either or should be able to get the job done.

  2. Once the scans have run and any detections are removed, change any accounts/passwords that you believe may have been compromised. This may include your email account(s) and League of Legends account (if you still have access to it; if not, skip to the "Submitting a ticket" step). You can change your League of Legends password by going to the League of Legends account area in the top-right corner of this page. Click on your summoner name, and select "Settings". In the box that comes up, click "Change Password" and follow said steps. (Make sure that your email account is secure before doing this step, as a confirmation email will be sent to the corresponding email account.)

  3. Now that your accounts are secure, it's time to contact Riot Games Player Support to deal with the unauthorized actions on your account and/or recovering your account.

To contact Riot Games Player Support, you'll need to submit a ticket on the Riot Games Support website. In the ticket, please submit all the requested information along with whatever information you can provide about your situation:

##[NOTE: DO NOT POST THE INFORMATION ON THE BOARDS. SUBMIT THEM IN YOUR TICKET!]

Lastly, to increase your chances of a quick resolution to your request, follow the tips below the best that you can:

  1. Be sure to submit as much information in your initial ticket as possible. For obvious reasons, each Player Support Specialist's request for more information will delay the resolution of the issue.

  2. Be respectful and polite in your correspondences with Riot Support. (They're doing their best to help you!)

  3. Try not create a new ticket or respond to an existing ticket before a Player Support Specialist has had the chance to review your request. New tickets/replies may bump your ticket back to the bottom of the queue, thus increasing the amount of time before a Player Support Specialist is able to review your ticket.

I know that there are quite a bit of steps listed above, so if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Best of luck!
