is it considered assisting the enemy team when you dont use your champs full strength?

the example i had RIGHT NOW might seem a bit weird. played urf, everyone told the enemy garen to spam e to abuse the bug which makes his e stack 3-5 times giving out insane dps. he didnt do it not once and the game was really close, we only won cause their garen didnt listen.

the example i had a week ago might seem better: had a yorick in my team who said he will never use his q to raise ghouls in lane or his r in lane because the ghouls "fuck up my last hitting" so he used his q to fight but not to bring up ghouls. and he only used his r to let it push down a lane but again never to fight with it. again wasting the full strength of the champ, the ghouls hurt A LOT if you tank them.

so is this considered trolling/assisting the enemys?

might aswell play soraka but never use w because "i dont need to waste my own hp (on someone who isnt good)"

So, ban everyone who starts maining a new champ. Great idea.

I think it entirely depends on the situation.

With the Garen one, no, I don't feel it assisting the enemy as Beyblade is only 1 way to play Garen on URF.

Yhe Yorrick, I would hesitate to say more likely. It would be similar to the 0 damage Tryn thing that happened a bit back. Ghouls are a key part of Yorricks kit though and should be utilized to harass enemies.

It's conceivable that players could be banned for exploiting a bug. With bugs like this there is absolutely no precedent for that and I think it would in fact be quite a dick move, but it is possible. That makes it, in my opinion, highly questionable to try to pressure somebody into abusing a bug. The only thing more questionable than that would be Riot then actually banning somebody for not exploiting a bug. I mean, that would imply Riot expects you to play in a way that they did not expect you to be able to play. How on earth does that make sense?

The Yorick example is also pretty straightforward: You can only expect of a player to play at their best capabilities, not their champion's best capabilities. I mean, let's spin this around: Wouldn't it be more problematic if a player intentionally plays in a way that accentuates their own weaknesses - at least in ranked?

Sounds like they’re just bad at their champs. It sucks, but ya not really against the rules.

I would consider it trolling since they know there playing wrong and it does hurt your teams chances of winning.

Garen not abusing bugs is a good thing.

Yorick and you have different options on what's the best use of abilities. If he thinks using an ability at a certain time will actively hurt him, then of course he shouldn't use it then.

i would say the garen one is not

since he wanted to play a diff way then spin to win.

Garen's E isn't bugged in urf, just the way the ability works.
