Looking for clarification on my chat ban... chat log inside. I lose season rewards due to trolls?

so my main concern here is that I JUST achieved silver on flex.. and moved to solo/duo queue. now i have a chat ban for two games where i had to deal with trolls/feeders on my team and yet i'm the one punished and now i'm not even going to get my season rewards because trolls reported me? I dont see how game 2 breaks ANY rules. considering that the system seems to require more than one game of behavior to enact a chat ban, I don't really understand how game 2 was enough to make me lose my season rewards. I think the trolls from game 1 know full well what they are doing to people. they even admit that they have made multiple accounts and do this same behavior on all of them. i feel like i've been screwed over by an automated system and all my efforts to achieve a silver border have just been thrown down the drain for it.

I understand that game 1 in this log I kinda snapped, our bot lane (vayne and LB) started champ select by banning two champs that jungle and I picked to use. They made no effort to deny that they were trolls. they clearly did not belong at bronze 5 elo, crushed their lane but then refused to push it further. refused to join teamfights. only fought once we were all dead. sometimes they pulled out a win, but voli & kog & I were actually trying to get objectives but had to 3v5 everything because they wouldn't help us. It was clear from the start that they had no intention of trying to win so I wasn't too concerned with losing, I had accepted it. I just really wanted to make sure the other team knew what they were doing, because I could tell they were trying to get good scores to hide the fact that they were throwing the game. A few of the comments in my game 1 log that I will admit might have been over the top:

'wipe my ass dad' was in response to someone saying 'you can't do it on your own had to have jungle help you' so i just threw that out there as a joke like a kid who can't do that on their own. not meant to be anything other than funny, even if it wasn't. i told enemy team to kill vayne and lb for banning our champs, but i didn't help them do it. i didn't give them info on where they were. if anything i was driving more enemy players into the grinder because these two were killing every player they saw.

'dont bitch' i can't remember why i said this without context but i think i was responding to an enemy player who was complaining they had it bad but meanwhile i was dealing with these two trolls that i knew were gonna throw. so i told them 'dont bitch' because they were already at an advantage since my intended choice was banned by my own teammate.

'im boosting this account/so idc' i said this partially because i believed vayne/lb might be boosters because of how clearly good they were (though i also did not believe they would try and win this game) and hoped to at least take some enjoyment out of their trolling by making it clear that i didn't have anything to lose from their trolling. also in reference to having achieved silver 5 on my flex queue earlier today and had now switched to solo/duo queue to try and get it out of bronze 5. i didn't have anything to lose because the two trolls forcing a loss on me didn't risk my elo dropping any lower. seemed to imply that i wasn't very good for a booster but i wasn't ever trying to claim i was good by saying it, just that i was trying to boost my rank here after getting the rank i wanted on flex. i had a feeling mentioning that i was boosting my account would trigger them to show more of their true selves and harass me more, which they did.

'vayne you stink at getting objectives' was my very flimsy way of trying to reverse-psychology vayne into actually helping with objectives. it was clear she had no intention to and was criticizing us for trying to, so i thought maybe if i challenged her ego she might actually help. she didn't. neither did LB.

'you being reported more important than me winning' i said this to try and make it clear to them that their trolling simply for the sake of enjoying my suffering wasn't going to stop me from making sure they were reported. my motivation to continue playing/talking was to try and get people on the other team to report them since they were making a very careful effort not to look guilty of anything to the enemy team. kog and voli on my team can be seen in the game's chat (for those who can see it) backing this up.

so yes i admit, i didn't really speak like a saint here. but i didn't use any racial slurs or even much swearing at all, which seems moot since the very few swears would be filtered out anyway. i have to assume that i was reported primarily since vayne/lb had it out for me as trolls and reported me together. however I can't be the only one that reported them.

now for the real mystery to me, game 2:

the only chat in here that i really find might be offensive is 'fucking DONNA'.

donna is my secretary. she paged the building to ask me a really unimportant question and interrupted me from playing. i was explaining to another player in the game, a coworker of mine, why i had to afk for a few seconds unexpectedly. that statement was enough for him to understand what i meant. the rest of it i dont know how it can be seen as breaking any rules. i was playing leona in the bottom lane. i helped my teammate get fed. we were doing well. then suddenly teemo decided he was going to abandon his top lane and just sit in ours and feed. started accusing me of trolling. he tried to claim my champion choice was troll (leona? as support?) and then said my build was troll. maybe my build wasn't great sinec i was trying rageblade on her, but i thought it could work since she can use her AA reset to reach the max-stack buff melees get fairly quickly. it has worked for me before on her. ahri actually vindicated me at least once when teemo accused me of feeding, saying it was a good thought to try and help teemo so he wouldn't die, but he was inting so i should just let him die.

so both of these games I have a feeling that the players I was dealing with that were trolling me also reported me in kind and now i'm left with a chat ban. i have always tried my best to report people violating rules with racial slurs, harassment toward players who were just doing their best, feeders, etc. i have never intentionally fed in my life. i have never intentionally violated the chat rules just for sake of hurting another via words. ive never tried to do anything but win. even when it was essentially 3v5 in game 1, voli and i were still pushing and actually made it into the enemy base and took an inhib 2v5. i was upset, but all i was trying to do was get our botlane to do something useful by getting objectives or helping in a teamfight. i've had many other games where i've used worse language, so again I have to assume that this chat ban is a result of being reported by the very players that were trolling me in the first place, plus any friends they had helping them report me.

To start, I'd personally advise to take EL HAMSTERO's comment with a grain of salt. The IFS doesn't just look for keywords in most cases, it more or less reads through the chat to discern intentions and negative behaviors.

Beyond that, I wouldn't personally worry about your End of Season Rewards. You don't risk losing them until Riot actually announces a cut-off date near the end of the season, which is often a month or so prior. Any penalties after that cut-off date will result in ineligibility to receive Ranked rewards.

While you already understand that you crossed the line in Game 1, I do want to pick out one snippet from it that I find noteworthy:

I'm not sure you know exactly what boosting is. It's the act of playing on another person's account in order to get them a higher rank than they may actually deserve - at the very least, one that they themselves have yet to earn. I skimmed your context for reasoning behind saying it, and it seems you're mistaking boosting and climbing as interchangeable terms.

The reason I wanted to bring this quote up in particular is because an account verified as being boosted is usually met with some really harsh punishments. I don't know what tier exactly, but I'm willing to wager the absolute lowest tier of punishment for account boosting is a 14-day ban, and a strip of eligibility for end-of-season rewards, regardless of timing.

As for Game 2, I believe the IFS pulled it as an example due to your arguing with teammates, some very mild harassment, and some general negativity. I'm willing to bet that if you hadn't addressed or commented on Teemo's performance, the IFS would have only presented you with the first game alone.

All said, if you suspect someone is trolling, it's best overall to do your best to ignore them. Getting aggravated or letting them get to you is, in all honesty, only going to result in the trolls (if they are) winning, or at the worst, you could just be chewing into someone who's having a bad game.

Given the mild nature of your second log and the understanding you have of the first, I think it's safe to say you should be able to bounce back from this in short order.

And, while irrelevant to the subject, I just wanted to say; as a Leona main, I feel your pain. Somehow there'll always be people out there who forget that Leona's kit is 70% engage, 30% lockdown, and 0% disengage. It's a pain and a half when those folks do crop up.

Stop being a baby and letting people trigger you like some sort of delusional liberal. Shits gonna go wrong in life. People aren't gonna live up to your expectations all the time. Don't bitch and moan about it, especially in games where bitching and moaning is against the rules. What did you expect? Riot to give you a big ol hug for having to deal with those mean trolls?
