2 week ban for insulting a game character?

So I call Lucian and Ekko nig-ger champs, and I get banned for 2 weeks? What do the pixels have feelings too? Do they need a safe space? That's what base is for. FFS.

Maybe you should update your fucking terms of use to include a "The fictional characters we made up are pussies with feelings that are easily hurt" clause so we know better than to insult them.

Whatever, 2 weeks gives me time to play GOOD games. However I want a refund on EVERY RP/SKIN purchase I've made on my account.

If you're going to ban me for insulting a fictional character then I want my money back.

Give me my money back, and we'll go our separate ways. I won't mess with your stupid game ever again after this.

Yep.

Riot has a zero tolerance policy towards hate speech. Doesn't matter if you're directing it at the player who reported you, at your duo-queue buddy who finds it funny, at a champion, or at an imaginary pink manatee named Bruce who everyone in your game hates. Other players were exposed to your offensive language, and that's the reason behind your punishment.

Seriously though -- a movie theater would kick you out for shouting that slur at a fellow patron. They'd also kick you out for shouting it at the water fountain, and it wouldn't be because you "hurt the water fountain's feelings." It would be because you're being a hate-speech spewing asshole with no regards for other people around you.

First of all, no matter the case, using slurs will get you punished.

Second, if you were going to "play GOOD games" you would not have been playing or putting money into League if you view it as inferior, you would have been playing those "GOOD games."

Third, Riot has stated in the terms of use that you click "I Accept" on every patch that they do not issue refunds for any content because you don't actually own it, you just buy access to the content. They will not refund you because they do not have to. You got punished, so take your punishment as a lesson. If you don't want to lose your account and the money you've invested in it, don't be offensive to people. That's probably one of the most simple lessons on the internet.

So lemme get this straight, people can afk, feed, harass others (non-racially), and make the game shit for everyone involved, and get a warning (lower priority queue), but I have ONE bad game, and call someone who doesn't even exist a hurty word and I get 2 weeks of ban. That's fair.

Makes me wonder how much money the other toxic players are spending that they get off easy.

Doesn't matter if it isn't directed at a specific person; it's a term used against a group. I could get into a game and start spewing Mein Kampf into all chat, and that would still be punishable even if I wasn't using it to harass an individual.

You currently have no reason for riot to give you any refund, simply saying "I want my money back" doesn't mean you are going to get it, and in the terms of use it's pretty much stated riot can ban you for anything they see fit, and you agreed to that

Using Racial slurs are a form of harassment, regardless of your context in game, so yeah. I'd say it's deserved. Try using your nice boy words next time you play league. And Riot isn't gonna give you your money back, lol, you don't own anything on your account. Read the TOS and the summoners code sometime my guy.

I knew having a backup account would come in handy.

Ironically though, my first game on this account and I got teamed with a toxic brand support that did the same thing I originally did (homophobic instead of racial though) and both teams unanimously reported him and apparently he got banned. lol

Made me feel a little better.
