Forgiveness Day

Say Riot, how about a forgiveness day, where people who have spent time AND money on this game are allowed a one time chance to get some of their money back, Thr perma ban usually means just one thing, people start another account using another email and sometimes IP addy that increases your stats on number of players but makes a large pool of smurf players who no longer will put .10 in the game and make some games toxic with afk farming and more. How about a one time global absolution? It would be great pr.

How about no? How about you stop asking for another chance and take responsibility for your actions? Not be toxic, negative, and not ruining players experience would be even greater than this idea you have.

When Riot permanently bans a player, they're sending the message that they don't want that person playing their game. Period. It doesn't matter if they've spent time and money in abundance, they've gone out of their way to ruin the game for other players, and Riot doesn't want them playing anymore.

There is no good reason to give those accounts "forgiveness", as they've already wasted all of their chances to reform. And, considering that permabans are often given to toxic players and negative players who simply refuse to get their act together, it would actually be bad PR for them to "absolve" those accounts, because that sends the message "we're inviting toxic people back in".

That's not a message anyone wants to send.

Permabans will remain permanent. No "forgiveness day", no "global absolution", no two ways about it. If you earned a permanent ban that wasn't applied in error, your account is gone.

It would just set a precedent and devalue the importance of permanent bans in the first place.

I highly doubt Riot will ever do this. It's just not a reasonable thing to ask of them.

Hey police, how about a forgiveness day where you give people who lost their licence and have had their cars impounded for repeated speeding a chance to get both back?

That would be a PR nightmare. Riot refunding money to permanently banned players would make the stock drop like crazy. Non punished players would get upset that they're being excluded for being honorable and that it's not fair to reward the permanently banned players financially.

This is such a bad idea. In no way would this ever be a good PR idea, nor would this be a good financial idea, nor would this be a good player behavior idea.

It's not Riot's fault you spent money on the skins/icons/whatever.... THAT IS 100% YOUR FAULT. You know what else is your fault? Getting smacked on your toxic ass head with the ban hammer. You are the type of person that ruins games for each and everyone one of the good people. Screw your damn forgiveness, screw your money, and rethink what you say to other players next time on your next online game.

Peace! [slayer-jinx-catface]

Funny how all these "regular players" come out the wood work to defend riot policies, lol!!
