QQ Permaban ruining player base

Well then I suggest trying a "Shock Treatment" for players... I believe it would be highly effective. You issue a permanent ban.. and then after a certain time you give players another chance to show redemption on their account. Banning someone for being toxic is not really understandable. It's players like me that are the reason league of legends made $1.6 billion in revenue last year.

If you weren't such a popular game I'd bet you'd never imagine banning people for being toxic. It's not like we are cheating or anything else. There is a mute button, and there should also be the option to disable a particularly toxic players chat permanently rather than banning someone's account indefinitely.

There are plenty of games without the incredibly toxic player base.. and I've never heard any company banning players for being toxic in chat... infact almost entirely after contacting support about a player being toxic.. they will advise users to utilize the "mute" feature.

We get it, you don't like toxic players and you are tired of it... people have a pussified sense of reality .

But seriously. You should think about this shock treatment. Some people are worth giving another chance. I know I for one would never risk my account again.

14 day ban is the shock treatment. You are just bad at understanding consequences.

Completely understandable, what's funny is when I play alone I'm fine but when people I allow to play on my game while I'm gone I come home and get perma-banned after spent 700$ on skins and all. I don't understand why perma-banned is a thing but I can say the couple days or weeks off can help but like you had mentioned it makes no sense to take away everything that people spend over people not using the mute button properly. Even when I'm tilted I still mute my entire team because I know I will get angry but what competitive gamer doesn't get mad?

Riot tried this. People that are toxic started feeding and trolling when chat was disabled.

C9 Jensen Perma banned on 3 accounts for being toxic AND DDOSING. Riot lifted the bans. That's all i'm going to say. Guess the only way to get our accounts unbanned is to go pro, because normal every day players don't mean anything to riot.

Or no. People who get permabanned do not have the permission to complain about it. They either went through multiple strikes or had such a severely offensive first strike that either way, it's not changing. Deal with it.

Then what would be the point of using the word Permanent? If it would be like that then might as well just give a longer ban time. With that said they already had warnings and second chances, so why give them more when they dont learn from the other times? Let alone they already tried something like this in the past and it didnt work. People were given a chance to get their account back and were still breaking the rules. So again if it doesnt work the first time why would it work a second time? How many chances does one need despite all the warnings they get and the fact they get a second, third, and fourth chances by the means of 2 types of chat restrictions and 14 day ban?

I'd say it's an interesting idea, however IMO Riot already has something similar to it. With the current system, unless their behavior is particularly extreme, each player goes through multiple punishments before reaching a permanent ban. Once someone reaches the 14 day punishment, I believe both their reform card and their e-mail about it states that their next punishment will be a permanent ban.

So, in a way, the 14 day ban does serve this purpose. The player suddenly gets banned and has to stop playing for a certain time, and when they come back they have one last shot at redemption. If they fail to change their behavior, that's when Riot decides to give them a permanent ban.

EDIT: Granted, the 14 day ban is probably on a much lower scale than you were thinking. However, you should still be informed when you receive your 14 day ban that your next punishment is a permanent ban, and you mentioned that it doesn't seem real unless permanent is used. That's just my take on it.

toxic -> spread .. its disease. some people can't handle their hand from typing sentences/ bad words etc. Good player understand, League Of Legends about Q, W, E, R , A , D , F , 1 ,2 ,3 ,5 Teemo and mute button :P [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
