sometimes, even if you arent directly flaming. you can inadvertantly be tilting your own team. so here are some tips on not being a tilt magnet, managing your own tilt, and reducing teammate frustration.

  1. ** If you are the one tilted. keep it out of chat **: Tilt is contagious. and pessimistic comments kill morale. and the veteran players on your who may be doing well may be forced into the chatbox trying to get you out of it. which best case scenario. now people's efforts are diverted to getting you to stop typing instead of winning their lane. worst case scenario. this can devolve into a chat war

  2. **Don't nitpick. ** pointing out a mistake once is fine. but criticizing people for every item they buy or didnt buy is both annoying and makes them want to mute you rather then listen

  3. Don't bring up KDA. particularly if asked to do something a person's score is not a measurement of skill. and in fact. their poor score may be a direct result of being ignored by their teammates. this is especially true for tanks and supports. don't tell the Singed STFU you're 0/3, who in fact has 2 turrets and is working on a third. when theyre asking you to do drag while theyre getting chased.

  4. DONT SPAM PINGS OR DEATH TIMERS the last thing you want when you're behind is people /fullmuting all.

  5. **If someone is struggling. help them if you can. the sooner the better.**If someone KNOWS they're losing lane and are asking for help. the longer you ignore them. the more tilted they get. particularly if you keep badgering them.

  6. **NEVER type the following in chat. **"Im done" "ff" "I give up" while you may think this. no one wants to fucking hear it. until a surrender vote passes or a nexus explodes. you're expected to try to win.

  7. **If someone asks you to stop typing. do it. no matter what" just because they can mute you. doesnt mean you arent a distraction. and by the time you've been asked to stop typing. odds are. you've become one.

  8. Use the mute button smartly /mute all may be helpful if you have a problem with becoming toxic. but otherwise. it makes you a liability. unless you're coming off a chat restriction or ban. you should only mute people when they become a problem. in which case you SHOULD mute them

9.** Don't mute pings unless someone is blatantly using them to harass.** communication is important. and muting pings is generally a bad idea unless someone is trolling with them. in which case. mute THAT PLAYER'S PINGS ONLY.

  1. **Avoid calling people "salty, "mad" "crying" ect. ** This 9/10 times in my experience is how flame wars are started. its obnoxious. and is likely to agitate the person instead of calming them down.

All are good ideas, but a lot of people fail to see things like a 'bad play' and move on from it. Moving on from someone who doesn't engage when you do or maybe last hits someone when you're about to get a penta is poor for moral, but to move on from it takes a seasoned person and the right mindset.

uh the easiest fix is just DONT USE CHAT

Someone flame? DONT ANSWER

Someone ping spam? DONT ANSWER

the IFS is literally just an algorithm and the less you say the weaker reports are against you

If you get these steps down you can turn it positive. type an lol in response to someone being an ass and enjoy the stream of bs that they waste time typing. Sip your lemonade cuz free bans op
