A serious question

Hello, people of the forum. I actually have a serious question about the game, well, more about what can and cannot be punished. Now note, this will likely be controversial and I'd like to ask everyone to be respectful to each other. Edit: This got a number of downvotes, oh well.

So, let's look at a scenario, and at each step I'll ask if it's something that can be punished.

  1. If I go Tryndamere can I be punished?

  2. If I go Tryndamere support can I be punished?

  3. If I go Tryndamere support and roam a lot can I be punished?

  4. If I go Tryndamere support and roam a lot and have a 50+% win rate can I be punished?

Now, yes, this is about that player that went Singed support and ended up doing a duel Jg.

So, when we get into it, yes, any of that can, in theory, be punished with a ban by Riot who chooses how to run the game, but the question is about whether it is the correct path to take.

  1. Picking Tryndamere should not be punishable.

  2. Picking Tryndamere support should not be punishable (w OP)

  3. Picking Tryndamere support and roaming should not be punishable, look at the whole premise of Bard support.

  4. Now, this is where I feel the issue comes up. If I go Tryndamere support and roam a lot and as a result lose a lot, then yes, a ban is easier to swallow. But, if I'm winning enough to go from say bronze to gold or higher then clearly I'm doing something right. The game is about winning am I right? You play with a team to win, not to lose, but to win. And if I'm winning with a weird meta then doing Soraka tank is bannable, then doing Akali tank is bannable, then doing anything outside the meta should be banned. But, if it's not banned then how can you punish someone for finding something that works for them?

Again, I know some of what happened.

He muted his team, so banned for no communication: Ban everyone who mutes anyone because that's the same thing.

He went against what his team wanted: I hate Braum, do I get to ban a Braum main because I hate the champion now? Imagine the reaction when you get banned for playing a champion. Again, this is with the lack of communication, but it falls on a bigger topic of not giving players the option to discover new things.

How did pro teams discover switching top and bottom last season worked wonders? They tried it, they won, they prospered. Same story here, try a new thing, it works, but you get banned?

Now, if I'm wrong, do correct me. But, bear in mind that this isn't about what one individual did. Can those 4 actions I listed get me a ban?

This isn't a serious question and if you can't figure out the answers from myriad threads on the subject, you don't want to figure it out. You're seriously just wanting to argue. I pass on the invitation.

I play TEEMO everywhere. You will be punished with BS reports and have to deal with pansies who think they know you better than you know yourself. In return they will either feed, go afk or you guessed it. Feed then go afk. They'll also try to get everyone in the game to report you for no reason but the fact you are playing a champion in a role they don't agree with. Forget that fact you may have spent hundreds of dollars in support of a game you like. Shit wasn;t their money so they don't care.
