A way for riot to decrease toxicity tremendously

After getting permanently banned a few times i set out to find a way to end my toxic ways once and for all and this is when i came across this script. The script would pretty much disable your enter key and your f1 key would be a macro for /fullmute all. I used this on the daily and could climb from honor lvl 0 to level 1 and 2 checkpoints before it stopped working which lead me down the dark path of a permaban. At that point I thought to myself, "how come riot dont have a function that does the exact same thing?" so I looked into the code of the script and it's literally 6 lines. I dont know if this is secretly really difficult for riot to implement since it seems like such a useful option to have.

#ifwinactive League of Legends (TM) Client

*Enter::return

*NumpadEnter::return

f1:: Send, {enter} Send, /ignore all Send, {enter}

(not made by me btw)

They could even add a even better function, this one would disable your chat entirely so you couldnt even see it and you couldnt type. I know you can drag your chat off the screen but you can still type. This could be toggleable outside of the game in your options just like the language filter option so you wouldn't be tempted to reactivate it mid game.

I've seen similar discussions before and a suprising amount of players dont agree that there should be something like this in the game. A typical concern would be something along the lines of "If you remove your chat or disable yourself from typing you cut yourself away from your team which can lead to bad teamplay." I always think that these types of responses are kind of funny since it's widely accepted in the league community to do /fullmute all.

If this would get added then there would be absolutely no excuse for getting banned and it would be completely up to you if you consider yourself tiltproof enough to keep this off.

Sorry if everything isn't perfectly phrased english isnt my main language.

This seems extreme for something fixed with self control.

I remember a thread on this exact subject I saw a few months ago. Last I saw it was questionable whether it was within the rules to use or not. Might have been an update since I saw that. You should look up the thread before doing this.

it may do to unbind it in your key options as well. that would also prevent rage typing. and I do agree league is more enjoyable without chat somewhat ironically in a "team" game.

what i tend to do is just say "it's fine" or do a simple " :) " when someone flames me (the smiley face) and the "it's fine" when i get tilted

Things get heated in a competitive environment and people who strive to win get upset when things don't go their way, it's normal and happens all the time in life. I don't understand why the suggestion of having the option to turn off chat is a bad one. If you can stop yourself from channeling your passion and drive to win into something negative in the way why not do it? You can say "oh dont click enter hehexd" but it's a lazy way to dodge the issue. There are no drawbacks to this, it's optional and people who know their drive to win is turned negative a lot can take preemptive measures against it. Why not? It's a really tame suggestion.
