Why do we get punished for an afk on our team?

We're in game. I'm reasonably fed. The teemo has bad ping, rage quits. Top getting recked, mid clueless, and jungle confused on what to do. How the fuck do we win a 4v5 anyways. How is that even fair? My duo lost his series and I lost lp, like wtf. He afks so we lose game and get deranked. He should lose all the team's lp if anything. People say 20 min low queue is the punishment, but who the fuck cares about 20 minutes. Timeouts from playing, you think we don't just alt tab and play something else. Like come on, that is so not fair. Change the punishment on the afkers and let the teams with the afks get less punishment wtf. fuck this game

If you don't want to lose LP when an AFK happens to you, then it should also definitely make it so you gain no LP if you win against an AFK.

You do not get a punishment. The result of a match is not a punishment. It is simply the result of the match.

Do you think also that teams who won against an AFK should get less LP for winning? How will you prevent players from harassing others or encouraging another player to AFK to limit their loss?

For the same reason you gain lp when the opponent has an afk. Probability wise you are more likely to gain from the system, assuming you never afk. Likewise, that system would be rather abuseable by duos. Really it could be abuseable by anyone, if you are losing just gang up on one person and try to get them to leave.

Do you think he had a choice?He had high ping,he could do nothing even if he was in the game,then you would have said'Why do we get punished for a troll on our team?'.I have a high ping often,so I can understand how the Teemo must have felt.It's not his fault he had high ping,so why should he get punished for something that's not his mistake?The leaverbuster in that context is fine.If a player rage quits/afks intentionally they get the leaverbuster.Those with high pings like me just have to bear it.There shouldn't be any punishment like the afker should lose all the lp of the team.

If they made it so the other teammates lose less lp because of an afk, people (duos) can abuse it and if they are losing somehow, they could use that to their advantage to lose less lp.

we're all aware of this problem, thing is there arent any solutions that can be had that arent abuse-able by duos or wont lead to people flaming someone whos doing bad to get them to leave and soften the loss
