I got banned for flaming the flamer, not even chat restriction. I just got the ban ( confused )

Okay idk what happened I need answers though, we had this gnar that was feeding and flaming the team in chat because he was dying in midlane. So I talked back a lot trying to keep him quiet. However at the end of the game, I got instabanned and nothing happened to the gnar. I can show u my chat logs and it looks lime im toxic, Im not denying it, I was toxict that match because of the gnar however why was I instabanned from just 1 report.

My understanding, which to be clear is NOT explicitly confirmed by Riot, is that blatant smurfs such as yourself aren't entitled to the same built-in leniency as an actual new player.

I'm not sure what your punishment history is on this account, but as a veteran player you know this sort of log is unacceptable, and you likely have previously punished or even banned accounts to your name.

This is the only thing I can see as being moderately discriminatory that would maybe trigger a 14-day ban. Are you positive you haven't had any prior punishments? This game on it's own doesn't seem to be worth of a 14 day ban right off the bat unless there's more to it. Like I said though, it could be due to the above quote.

I'd recommend filing a support ticket found here for more information.

I also just want to take this time to remind you that flaming someone who's toxic doesn't make the situation any better. Toxicity shouldn't be your response to toxicity, please try to refrain from this in the future as it just perpetuates the cycle of negativity. Mute, report in game, and move on.

Your idea to keep someone quiet is to engage in a conversation with them? The fuck? At least be honest man. Anyways, you clearly broke the rules by insulting him. You didnt get banned from 1 report, you got banned for breaking the rules... the report doesnt fucking matter. Its the content. If you broke a rule, get consequence. If you didnt break any rules, youre good. You broke rules. Quite obviously too.

Send a ticket to Riot support for assistance! I hope they make you change your name though, children play this game, they don't need to be reading about gay or hetero sex either way.

Whether you were reported once or reported nine times, the reports are viewed the same. As for the ban, are you sure you did not receive chat restrictions in a previous punishment? Based on this chat log, your negativity does not seem enough to skip directly to a suspension as there was no apparent hate speech, racism, etc. Although, there will always be some cases where low severities of toxicity could still warrant an automatic suspension.

If you believe this punishment was unfair/unjustified, feel free to send a Support Ticket over to Riot Support. Otherwise, this is a learning experience for the future. Just because someone flaming does not make it alright for you to flame as well.
