there should be a way to do a more serious report

I was recently in a game where there was a** VERY** toxic player, this player was so toxic i would not like to see him in a game with a younger more sensitive player that would treat the things he said seriously. I did report the player but to me this does not feel like a regular report because his behaviour was much worse than that of players that i have reported before. There should be a way to more seriously report a player. (if there is and i don't know about it, pls send me a link to it)

If there was a "more serious report" everyone would just use that no matter what. Would invalidate the purpose.

It should be done in such a way that the person reporting the player is directly linked to the report so that if no evidence is found the reporter could face punishment ( to stop trolling ).

Extremely toxic behavior can result in an instant permaban from just the normal report system, what more do you want?

No need for that. Just use report feature in post game. And move on. Once you report it, your involvement is over.

The problem is that quite a few members of the Riot player base will often hit the report button regardless of what happened in the game - e.g., "I made a mistake, didn't own it so I blame the support, the jungler, etc." Or I die because I am 2 levels behind and want to do a 1 v 2 at mid and the toplaner decided to clear a wave to save the turret which was close to falling - so then you see this in /all chat: "The toplaner is feeding - reported."

If you consider how many younger players hit that report button at the end of the game because they are hot-tempered and tilting, then you would realize just how many reports have to be filtered through. Given this onslaught, is it any wonder that Riot has had to move to a more automated system to deal with them - and is it not surprising then that so many reports get missed because one too many people just mash the "!" button and hit "report" without thinking about whether the report would be a good one or a bad one?
