A running Tally of ranked points lost From AFK, Rage Quit, Bugsplat, Intentional Feeding.

I would love the community to keep active tally on how many Points are being Stolen/Lost from AFK, Rage Quit, Bugsplat/client issues, Intentional Feeding and Hard Trolling. In this month alone in the solo/duo Que from my experience i would get about one out of every ten games an AFK or Rage quit (on one instance i had it happen twice in three games) . As we all know this is super frustrating especially when you are in your promos, trying really hard in game or just wanting to climb. My hope is to keep a running tally of points to show that their system of reporting after is not working well enough. When normally the four players end up paying the price of time and points lost over one players actions. If we can show the OVERWHELMING amount of points and time being lost by these players, while pushing an even more negative atmosphere into what is considered one of the most toxic player environments online. I know Riot cannot give me my time back sadly as that is the most valuable thing to be lost in these situations but maybe just some ideas: they can freeze the points lost for the four who did nothing to deserve the loss. Even if the system gave half the points back like its still unfair but its better then nothing. Maybe a report AFK option in game and if they do not move within three minuets of getting three reports then the game ends the other team gets full points of the win and the AFk gets Twice the points lost (with an option for the AFK to contest if the clients bugs out, as it does often enough) and the losing team suffers half point loss (to stop it from being abused in duo+ teams). I know riot has options already in place to stop some instances of AFK but we have all been on the team that has four versing five and two people who are feeding want to play it out for thirty five minuets into a scaling team, or the troll who says no **** you I'm not surrendering you have to play it out.

So, are you also going to track points gained from those things happenning to the other team? Because the numbers might surprise you.

Loss forgiveness is kind of a sticky issue. Will you also cancel the win for the other team? And how would you prevent bullying the "weakest" player into leaving to save the rest? Or leave trading among premades?

As far as your mid-game afk report... LeaverBuster already does that. Or have you not seen the "But I reconnected!" posts?

“I am all for the trade off for the winning team gets half points and the losing team to lose none.”

If you implement that, the outcome is pretty much every player gaining league points more quickly, on average. This includes the individual players who suffer a loss because they were the ones who disconnected or experienced bugsplat

In other words, all you’re doing is inflating league points across the board. It won’t get you the outcome you expect it to.

On average, you should actually net benefit from players going AFK or trolling, assuming you yourself never AFK or troll. With that assumption, there are 4 slots in your team that could potentially have an AFK or troll, but 5 slots on the opposing team.

I play very aggressively in lane. When I was climbing through lower elos I'd get adcs to rage quit infrequently. So... My lp tally is positive? I think I've had 1 inter this season and just a few afks (one of which we won anyway!), pretty much at the same rate as the other team.

Like, yea it sucks to be on the losing end of them, but they happen on the other team too also you gain back lp lost....

I think when an AFK, or penalty is issued during ranked play, an additional penalty of "time away from ranked" should be placed on that account. So if a player were to get a "chat-restriction" in ranked in addition to the number of days penalty an equal number of days should apply to their ranked queue

all things considered its a fair game. These issues happen to everyone at one point or another. In the grand scheme of it all its a perfect balance.
