Increase in Penalty for breaking summoners code, especially people who afk.

I believe that penalties for breaking the summoners code should be much more severe. Having encouragement to behave well (honors, rewards) is very goodZoe . It pulls people to act better. Though, Riot can do more by increasing punishment as well since this will push the players more to act accordingly. So you end up with encouragement and fear to make people act better. Going in a little deeper with punishments, I believe if you afk more than once every 3 days (or something like this) you should be punished for longer than the usual. You cannot debate for being afk like you could for Intentionally feeding; Therefore, afking should have a more serious punishment.item 3147 Otherwise, you might as well afk every 5 games you play if you aren't playing a good game, horrible teammates, or because you feel like it. Something to think on in my opinion. It would make my experience better and others as well. Having afkers game after game is repelling and makes me feel disgusted that kind of attitude goes unpunished. summoner 13 summoner 14

Except emergencies happen. Technology fails. And some things are just outside of our control.

First off, why do you have Champion/Item/Summoner Spell icons dotted about? Is that just your form of line break, or...What? 'Cause in all honesty, it makes it a little harder to read with all those random icons pushing sentences down or spacing between them.

Second - how much longer than usual? 2x? 3x? 4x? Or adding more increments of 5m to the timer? What duration extension do you think would be acceptable for those who AFK repeatedly?

And third...What do you mean "more severely" in terms to the rest of the punishments, like chat restrictions and 14-day bans? Would 14-day offenses now be treated with permabans? Would every punishment be kicked up a notch, or would everyone suffer bans for their offenses with the worst offenders (feeders, hate speech, etc.) just getting permabanned?

Because, if you're going to talk about "increasing penalties for breaking the Summoner's Code" - you have to talk about more than just LeaverBuster, and in all honesty, I don't think the system can be any harsher on traditional punishments.

Downvoted for extreme vagueness. By Summoner's Code violations, you could be referring to being AFK (already handled by LeaverBuster automatically; are you asking for even more punitive measures?), toxicity, hacking/botting, etc. Are you asking for harsher punishments for all of these categories?

But since the focus of your thread seems to be AFKing, I'm personally against harsher punishments. Emergencies happen. Admittedly, a good majority of the player base is juvenile. I'd rather not have a teenager have to choose between a ban and helping his mother with the groceries. Who knows, maybe your cat knocked over some important item or something. Maybe you spilled a glass of water on your keyboard. My point is, stuff happens. Maybe some empathy on your part can alleviate your frustration with AFKers. Granted, some people do ragequit and announce in chat that they're AFKing until the end of the game. But there's already a report function for griefing.

I think if they removed the QUEUE DODGE TIMER people would AFK a lot less. If you dodge in queue you cost me 60 - 90 seconds, if you dodge in game you cost me 30 - 50 minutes.
