How to not get permabanned

So, during my (well deserved) 14 day suspension I've read a lot of posts on Player Behavior Boards and I noticed the vast majority was about permabans caused by toxicity. As someone who is trying his best to reform, I want to share a couple of tips on how to not get permabanned.

  1. Use the /mute all command. Seriously, this helped me climb from d5 hardstuck into d2 with ease, just mute someone who is being an a-hole and play the game, don't speak to toxic players in chat. 2.Change your mindset. This might be the trickiest part. I firmly believe that you can't win every game, the matchmaking will get you one day. If you're on a 5+ win streak, your teammates will be a lot worse than those you played with while you were on that win streak. So don't get too hyped about win streaks because that causes you to tilt harder when the said ends.
  2. Accept defeats which weren't caused by you and move on without flaming. I'm not saying you should blame your teammates for every defeat, but the opposite is not true either, you sometimes do your best and don't make much mistakes but still lose. Sometimes you will get someone with an ebay acc/inter/troll and in my experience, riot won't do anything about them as long as they don't use the chat. So just accept those defeats and take a pause for the cause if you get tilted too much.

Hope this will help you, please share your thoughts in the comments

Or you could Just AFK instead of flaming lol, its not like afk's or inters ever get punished. I mean it takes 2 games to get banned for toxicity, but you can int for 20 games in a row and not get any restrictions.

You forgot a few.

Troll passive aggressively.

Avoid keywords

profit.

The biggest problem that the ex-14 day suspension players who post on these boards face is that they often don't see that their actions were inappropriate. They think they were unjustly banned, continue the same behavior, and get nailed with a permaban. You are clearly the kind that doesn't get the same attention because you DO see the error in your ways. Huge props to you for not only realizing, confronting, and overcoming your toxicity, but having the courage to post about it.

Your points are spot on too. The best way to avoid that one final repeat offense is to realize that players who are doing poorly aren't trolling. That you yourself are not Faker, and are not without responsibility. One good step people can take is INSTANT mute. It doesn't matter if you may want to talk to them later, if you have faced the fact that you are prone to spiraling arguments out of control, it's not worth the communication. The second you feel that they may be tilting you, MUTE. It is not worth the risk of letting yourself slip into old and bad habits.

Also, somthing I have said a billion times and nobody who complains about their bans EVER GODDAMN LISTENS TO: if know that you talk too much, and it often leads to toxicity and flaming, unbound your god damn chat key. You can't flame someone if you can't chat at all. You can then put chat on some super far away and useless key, or even put a modifier like "shift+____" on the chat key.

Mindset is important, and implicit within it is self restraint. Players who can't come to realize that what they do is wrong will just eat ban after ban until they finally run out of chances.

Its not always so much about raging, but excessive negative chat can get you banned too. Just don't type so much, and most of the time pointing out mistakes has literally zero benefit on teammate's performance. They're likely already tilted and don't care about what you have to say.

Mute all moment game start. Why?To prevent you from seeing people being toxic, which is going to lead to your respond, and that to their respond and there you go...

Mute all and have a good game.

"for behaviors that are represented by words"

"represented by words"

"words"

You can try to deflect and change topic/show everyone how 'smart' you are all you want, but at the end of the day what I said was not incorrect. You just didn't like my layman phrasing because, well...that's your personal favorite way of being passive aggressive on these boards, and trolling people, without TECHNICALLY breaking any rules.

Since you are so convinced that I'M the one who is incorrect, please feel free to go and get yourself a chat restriction by simply using sentences/phrases of imaginary words that 'behave' like known 'toxic' words. (key words)

It's different, sure, but the sequence STARTS with 1...so you have to find the "1" before you can even BEGIN looking for the Fibonacci sequence.

so 1 is a KEY number to finding the Fibonacci sequence, and without the other numbers there would be no sequence at all. Key NUMBERS.

An POV I've tried is from LS. Assume everyone is an NPC. Why have a lengthy argument with an NPC when you can farm, ward, or group? Are you surprised that the NPC suicided? No, it's a scripted or rng event to fuck with you. Kinda liked when psycho mantis toys with you in MGS, or a Crimsom Qurupeco calls a Deviljho and gets eaten in MH3. Your NPC talks too much? Turn off his dialogue (/mute). You want to get bootylp, then start playing Civ5-simulator by making alliances (compliment the NPC for good things) and gift them shit (wards, ganks, freelo, etc). I like this POV because I feel less emotional if someone fails. People's failures are not insurmountable setback but part of the game. If you lose, relax and then get back to refining your skills or setup, just like many other games.

Sorry my brain programming doesnt allow me to accept defeats without letting my teammates know its their fault. i call it tyler1 syndrome

So pretty much just said that if someone doesn't want to get banned the best thing to do is not to type and the rest of the post is about 'mindset' to help you climb elo. What are you reforming from exactly, because IMO muting everyone and/or not interacting out of pretty much fear of getting banned isn't really a solution.

Not a toxic player at all. Im also pretty sure a riot employee of sort does read this stuff from time to time, so here we go. Im not a bad player, yet i dont know everything about the game. I stay in gold 3 and lower most of them time, and have been playing since 2012. Ive had over 10 accounts, 3 of which are banned, not due to toxicity, but due to the fact i just died a little too much, unintentionally, and someone on my team brings up all chat and encourages everyone to flameand report me. they report and shortly after im recieving suspensions, then again, months later, got banned on my first account. This has happened 3 times.

Im not one to type on chat, even team chat. I have anxiety out the ass as it is, and i find it hard to find things to say most of the time. So i NEVER flame my team, for anything, and i mute when i feel like its needed, because i know doing it at game start is an option, but at the same time some useful info is typed in chat, and i wouldnt be able to see it.

All in all riot, you encourage good sportsmanship and non toxicity in your community, but you condone the banning of players who are learning and arnt AS good as most, that die a little too much, and dont deserve it at all. We need to look into the FEEDING report, and examine what is reportable and what isnt when it comes to league deaths.

Not complaining, yet i am, because i can see this being a bad problem to others that arnt as good. I dont care to be great, i only play for fun, yet riot takes matchmaking of all sorts too seriously, and ive seen tons of players leave to other games because of it. Ontop of all of that, no matter what you have done, or who you are (tyler1), or how reformed you get, they wont lift your ban.

GG on tribunal riot, and GG on kinda screwing lower tier players as myself.

Instead of flaming if a game is lost afk or leave the game or run it down mid or stay in the jungle.
