I got really pissed off cuz riots perm banned my accounts, the reason is my boyfriend send me some skin gifts from the accounts he purchased online.

I totally understand we should not purchase accounts or purchase rp from a third party. But i dont totally agree with the ban on receivers. Do I have a choice to receive gifts or not receive? U could refund these gifts, but why banned my account permtly? Did I do any mistake under this situation?

That riot support guy made me really upset.

So you already made a support ticket and got a response? Showing us that response would give us something to work with here, otherwise we can only speculate.

This kinda raises a question like...

I'm a support main. Let's say I play a game and I kick complete ass with my stranger bot lane partner. He adds me. He gifts me a skin for the champ I was playing as a thanks for being a good support, we should play more sometime.

If his account was bought and there was compromised info on it, and there was no possible way I could have known of this information, my account could get perma banned? Hundreds of dollars and hours down the drain because I accepted a strangers kindness?

That's bullshit and you know it. This just makes me not want to accept friend requests from anyone even if we just got out of a game where we had good synergy and fun. Because of the fear that they could just eff me over with a simple sending of a gift.

The fact that you cant decline them either makes it worse.

If you and your boyfriend both purchased accounts, yeah, you will receive bans since purchasing accounts is a serious violation of the rules.

If you have the support ticket conversation, we'd like to see that.

Ok, based on what I've read, here is what it may have looked like from Riot's side.

  1. A bunch of accounts all suddenly start gifting to a single account they had no previous contact with.

  2. Some, if not most, have different credit card numbers.

  3. Some of the original owners report the cards as compromised to their banks.

  4. The banks contact Riot to try and get the money back.

  5. Riot sees the cards are attached to accounts funnelling skins and RP to a single account.

  6. Riot bans the recipient account as the most likely culprit as it is the one benefitting most from the theft.

Odds are, Riot has more than just what I've pointed out to back their decision, but that's what I see as a likely scenario for this ban.

Your boyfriend should have bought you a riot card or one those prepaid credit cards. Using a purchased account and getting anyone else involved is asking for trouble. It's so easy for the person who sold the account to scam people who buy accounts by claiming the account was stolen to get the account back. Tell your boyfriend not to buy accounts and do things the legal way instead of trying to cut major corners. Sooner or later cutting major corners will backfire. You can only dodge so many bullets before getting hit.

I feel like yall being a bit harsh on her... like yeah maybe she knew abt the accounts being bought but she may have not known about the money not actually being his? People buy accounts all the time she may have thought it was an empty account not one with effing credit card info on it.

I dont really get what is so-called involvement in the compromise of other accounts for gain, or found to be linked to these account because sending gift to me during this time.

Did I make any fault? cuz I shared passward to my boyfriend? Does my account have any link to these accounts? whats the link? gift sender and receiver? I dont even know he send me gifts after he already done with it.

Yes, I made a ticket and the response as:

Hey there again, Thanks for the additional information, we take this matter extremely seriously and it is strictly against our terms of Use , which can be found here: Http://leagueoflegends.com/legal/termsofuse.

Your account is permanently suspended due to involvement in the compromise of other accounts for gain. It was found to be linked to accounts which were reported compromised and sent you gift during this time period. Due to the volume of breaches in this case, we had no choice but to permanently suspend your account.

Please let me know if you have further questions or concerns, but know that we will not be reversing our decision on this matter.
