should trash talk be reportable?

I realize that insulting the enemy team or just being flat out rude is and should be reportable but, what about trash talk to heighten the stakes or just make the game more fun. should and is trash talk reportable because honestly i want to know why it is if it is. Trash-talk is in every "sport" so why not have it a loud in league, because after-all league is a "sport"

It should be reportable because there is a point where it crosses the line from "healthy competitive spirit" into "abuse and harassment." Since that line is at best pretty blurry, best to leave the options open for summoners to report when they feel it has been crossed.

There's trash talk, then there's 'being a horrendous jerk and calling it trash talk'.

I'm more than fine with trash talk after the game is over, but consider that 'taunting' is not allowed in college football and will nullify a touchdown.

it's a sport but when you're not playing at a professional level, it can and will lead to great conflict, and is generally low class.

Depends on the context and who you're playing with/against. If it's with friends and they know and you know that you're not trying to be insulting then it's fine. However, if it's with strangers then you need to be careful as what might be considered funny to you may be considered rude and inappropriate to them. If you continue to say it anyways and refuse to stop despite them asking you to do so then yes it should be reportable as now you're just being a selfish and uncaring jerk about it honestly.

There are people who consider "gg ez" a reportable offense in a game that gives every champion a spammable taunt/laugh/mastery emote... So yea, people are retarded.
