Why do I have to lose because of one troll

I just had a game where my team had an easy victory but part way through when the enemy had no inhibs up and we were far ahead our jg shyv types in chat “Time to lose, I’m gonna troll because fuck you guys” and proceeded to refuse to group, throw baron and drag 3 times, and try to 1v5 for the rest of the game. We lost because we could not 4v5 their team. We were very ahead early on and pushed all of the lanes to inhibit, all we needed to do was baron and end but shyv wanted to troll and it cost us the game. Why do 4 people have to lose a game they should have won becaus one person wants to be a dick? Why can’t riot fix their system?

What steps did you want Riot to do in this situation? Do you really believe there would be something that somehow would have prevented this?

Generally these situations occur due to a negative attitude within your team.

My best tip is try and be positive and get it to spread to your fellow teammates

They have a system for that. It's called "get them banned."

If they literally admitted to it in chat, it should be a no brainer. But in this situation, it really has nothing to do with Riot. That shyv cost you the game. Riot didn't deliberately set up a fucking interview for "who is a good fit to troll Soul Dealer today" Riot has 0 way of stopping them from trolling you in a game in progress. Their system is to punish those who did so to hopefully prevent future cases. It's not their system that's the issue...it's humanity. They ruin everything, and any online video game is no exception.
