Make Permanent Ban's Appealable. at LEAST Recover after a YEAR?

I think that LOL accounts that have been Permanently should be repealable. Riot's "zero tolerance" of lude and adult language is an utter joke, we all know it. Every game is an experience of either muting, ignoring, or being caught in the middle of someones attitude. Being users of the internet we should expect this kind of behavior. I was a new player and my lack of immediate skill bothered many many players i was queued with. My first months on League was just game after game of harassment and "you suck kid" , "are you 12 you fukin noobs". and YEAH i report, i type " /all report khazix being toxic" but as soon as you bring the other team into it, YOU are considered toxic. then your teammates LIE and talk crap on you and all of a sudden everyone in the gam targets you. They all report you, and you get banned, permanently. Even though you were just triggered at this guy who was ACTUALLY being toxic. LOL's zero tolerance targets new players and hurts the game more than actually toxicity.

{quoted}...Riot's "zero tolerance" of lewd and adult language is an utter joke, we all know it.

There is no zero-tolerance policy on this. There is a several-strike policy for crass and sexual language, and a two-strike policy for hate speech. Aside from that you can fucking use adult language as much as you god-damn please, so long as you aren't using it to give other people shit.

Being users of the internet we should expect this kind of behavior.

Nonsense. We should expect that some people will behave in this fashion, but that doesn't mean we should assume that all our interactions have to involved this behavior, or that we have to consider it acceptable.

My first months on League was just game after game of harassment and "you suck kid."

I'm legitimately sorry you ran into that.

They all report you, and you get banned, permanently. Even though you were just triggered at this guy who was ACTUALLY being toxic.

Being triggered or frustrated by someone's toxicity is fine. Expressing that frustration in ways that violate the rules is not fine. That is the key difference -- someone else violating the rules doesn't mean you get a free pass to do so back.

You had plenty of warnings, why would another warning help?

If you think homophobic or racist terms are okay then why would they want you back?

10 games chat restriction 25 games chat restriction

14 days ban + message popup explaining to stop or account will be gone

permaban.

perma(nent) ban is deserved.

grow up. a year of practive make your behaviour accptable

If losing your account upset you - that's what punishments do. Don't get punished in the first place, and you won't ever run into this scenario. So yeah, you got permabanned, but you were given plenty of warning before it happened. You didn't listen, and then you hit the point of no return. Give up, make a new account, and be a better human being.

Never once received even a chat restriction because i dont belittle my teammates.

So yea try again.

Actions have consequences. Sometimes, those consequences can't be be reversed.

Riot attempted a recovery program during S1 or 2. It failed so badly they've refused to allow any further attempts.

Since then, the policy has been no recovery for behavioral permabans. At best, they'll allow players make new accounts, but the loss of champions, skins, friend lists, etc on the banned account has been part of the consequences for breaking the rules.

Perhaps some perma bans were not very well deserved, but most were deserved so well, that we should NEVER revive the account.

Shandrake7/11/2018, 9:17:14 PM2 votes

Do you know what Perma means?

Butterwood7/11/2018, 8:54:10 PM2 votes

I would be very annoyed if Riot spent CS hours dealing with permaban appeals rather than dealing with toxic player reports.

Why do we expect the system to indulge our imperfections? Yeah all that stuff happened to you, and that really sucks man. But to retaliate, to lower yourself to those plebs' level. That was your choice. You didn't have to. Most of us are tempted to retaliate, but no one has to. Keeping your head down and spamming the mute button is always an option. And for the love of God don't type out "muted" when you do it, just do it.

The zero tolerance policy is one that I think is a step in the right direction of making the online environment a grouping of actual communities. One where mutual respect is paramount. In y opinion Riot should escalate all reportable offenses to the same level as harassment in terms of impact on likelihood of being banned. Disrespect is disrespect is disrespect.

If it was appealable then it wouldn't really be a permanent ban. It sucks to have your account banned because of the "zero tolerance" policy (Ive been banned too) because the people who initiate the arguing are the ones who truly deserve the punishment, not those who are the victim. It seems as if the victims are the ones who are punished the most for not being the bigger person and muting but in reality not everyone can just** mute and report** that easy. I reported the people who were toxic towards me the day of my ban (which was 9 months ago) but they are still roaming around! I checked on op.gg and they still have their accounts even though they were extremely toxic. Sometimes the system is unfair but you just got to learn to move on

yeah man why is it so hard to believe people do get banned from 1 game permanently.. you do know the automated word or phrase that they search automatically not manually by people. It only looks for key words or phrases and it distinguishes them between adult language and if it is allowed within the league policies which 9/10 it never is, don't matter how the argument or simple convo in game was going friendly or not. It just looks for those key things and can ban you solely based on that.
