I Had a Problem With My Connection, Then Power, I Was Wondering One Thing About Punishment.

I know if you quit too many games while playing them, you get punished. First off, I honestly never, ever quit out of frustration, even if my teammates are just feeding the opponent, not helping, or even not moving (this rarely happens, but you know). What has happened in my city recently is the following. We've had connection problems, which kicked me from several games, so I stopped playing for a few days until it got better. The day it was better, what happens? Power goes out in the middle of a match. I waited a while after regaining power, got online and into a match and AGAIN it happens. So far I have not suffered from any punishment.

My question is simply how many games over what period of time must one quit midway (even though it is an accident) before suffering a punishment for it? One game I was playing, I had to stop in the middle of it because I was having warning signs of an impending seizure, for example. I did not quit, but obviously my character didn't do anything. It was my fault, since I'd forgotten my anti-seizure meds.

So from now on I'm making sure everything is stable regarding the connection in my city, as well as making certain I've taken my medication. I absolutely feel terrible when I let teammates down. Anyway... is there a set number of consecutive games quit midway that gets you a ban? Another question is, can the system tell if my connection started to time out instead of my quitting?

Sorry for the questions, really. I may have an older account, but I took a break for years due to not having a working PC for a long time. So I've sort of forgotten a lot and also there are obviously changes.

I thank you in advance!

So, LeaverBuster is going to be based not just on number of games left, but also the pattern and timeframe they occur over. If you leave 3 games in a row, that's different from leaving 2 games, then 1 game a week later, for example.

Basically, you may be at risk for a punishment - but it's not like that's the end of the world - you would only be assigned a low priority queue (likely 5 minutes) for 5 games, then be "back to normal" assuming you don't leave anymore for a while.
