Permanent bans

Hello all, today I am posting on a matter regarding the permanent banning system and how I believe that it is flawed in some ways. Let me start off by saying that harsh punishments in this game are definitely needed, for the community is very toxic. However, I believe that the initial permanent ban is somewhat flawed. First of all, players who are toxic receive numerous warnings and smaller punishments, which is good, but as we all see, it does not shape the players behavior forever. Some toxic players may change for a small period of time, but in most cases, they will return to their toxic behavior until another punishment. Now, in my opinion, the harshest ban without being permanently banned is a 14 day ban, which I do not think is harsh enough to send a message. Once the player is punished after their 14 day ban, they are permanently banned, which I believe is way to harsh to be the next punishment. Yes, I realize that toxic players receive numerous chances to reform, but after a harsh permanent ban, they will most likely see very differently. I have personally been permanently banned by Riot, and it was very justified. It has been a while since my main was banned and since then, I have created a new account and ranked it to level 30 with full runes and many champions, but it's just difficult to forget about the main account that I spent many hours on. Now, being a previously permanently banned player, I can say that once I created that new account, I have completely stopped my toxic behavior because I do not want to go through the punishments again. I have completely reformed and have not been toxic and I believe that players like me should be granted some sort of second chance. Of course, this second chance should not be acquired quickly and easily, but there should be some way that gives a player hope of getting their precious main account back. Whether it be the old system they had in place (Ranking an account to level 30 without toxic behavior would result in the main account being unbanned) or another, there should be some way that gives a player hope and incentive to show good behavior. I have spent a while thinking about a system that I believe could work and this is what I thought: A Riot employee or some sort of observer should be able to see previous chat logs of the player on their alternate accounts and see if they have truly reformed. Whether it takes two months worth of games to prove or more, I truly believe that there should be a system like this so permanently banned players who truly want to reform, can, and be rewarded with their dream of getting their main back. If this player that is rewarded with a lift on the ban shows toxic behavior again, then further punishment can take place, but if someone gets their main back, I doubt they would give it up again with bad behavior. At least I would not! Yeah, that person who got banned had many opportunities to reform, but as I have observed, it does not really hit you until it's gone forever. Let me know what you guys think of this and whether my system is flawed or not. Please know that this post is not me begging for my main account back, but a post giving suggestions because I have spent countless hours thinking about my main personally, and sometimes I just wish their was a tiny bit of hope with getting my main back, which has kept me in check with my behavior since the permanent ban. Let me know what you guys think about this. Thanks!

i didnt read that shit. However if a mute button exist, i dont see why you should be punished for verbal abuse.

If anything, the person who refuses to use the mute button should be banned for false reports.

**Why can’t you give permanent banned players a second chance? You will receive a better player. **

Actually, this is the unfortunate problem. Allowing permanently banned players another chance is an extremely damaging cost. Do you know what the success rate of the Level 20 Challenge was? 5%. Do you know that for each person, they clearly outlined the toxic behaviors and had 1 on 1 conversations with the players to try to improve their behavior? These are players that were hand-picked by Player Support staff because they felt the pleas from these players were genuine. The success rate was still 5%.

Do you know how many games on average these players played? 100 games / month. When a permanently banned player fails to reform, they are creating miserable experiences for hundreds, maybe thousands of players a month. That's not a cheap cost or a low risk and we cannot consciously justify that, for the sake of the rest of our players.

it is flawed indeed

it should be aimed at actual griefers than at those who have a bit of banter or even a real fight in the chat

well some players dont always get temporary bans/warnings... they just get straight up perma banned xd which is good because toxic players are bad and rude etc like you said.

Does anyone know if Riot will see this or if there is a way for me to contact Riot with this conversation?
