The cries of the damned

Some of you can hear them right? You come to this board just for that. The people that were banned, or got in trouble. You sit there from atop your pomade and sneer at them. It is okay for you to berate them, for you have mastered the language to get away with it. I say that while people punished for toxicity may well deserve it, but you who laugh from your safety are even worse. You enjoy their suffering like grapes being popped into your mouth from Riot, after all it is your reward for getting them here in the first place. You lot are the true monsters in the community, for you have no pity for your fellow man

Why would we have pity for someone who berates their team at the drop of a hat?

Enough blanket assumptions to keep me warm during the coldest of winters.

As a guy who recently had a very bad experience with a fellow player, Riot’s response to my ticket saying that they would investigate does not inspire laughter or any sense of joy. I’m more just relieved that it’s over.

You seem to be referring to the people who revel in toxicity and love making people, no matter their behavior, feel frustrated, or “trapped.” That’s what my ticket was reporting.

Understand that attitude is always changing. People may exist on a “spectrum” of behavior and morality, but that position is by no means static.

I can't speak for others, but I think the only reason I come to this part of the Boards is to hope I can find someone who is honestly looking to understand, change, and improve. Far too often people only come to vent or complain about the system.

I rarely look at any specific board, normally i hung out at boards home. But, to be honest, i always look at any threads posted by people who got banned. The vast majority of them try to justify their actions. My team fed, my team were toxic, Trundle was a troll, some alien in a planet million light years away farted and that disturbed them and just keep flaming on everyone and everything, still saying that they dont deserve the ban even as their post is full of insults.

Yeah, i feel happy and relieved when i see those posts. Mean the system works fine and flamers get what they deserved. The same way you are happy and relieved when a murderer or thief gets to jail, do you feel you are worse than them? Cause i dont. Its of them gets what they deserve, its their decision how to act, not mine.

P.S. Arent you reading into it too much? Seriously "the cries of the damned?". Most of them will make a new account and come back to start flaming again.

Most regulars here do try to help people understand why they got punished and often times offer tips and advice on how they can avoid being punished again. Unfortunately the majority of punished players only want to whine and complain and rage at others simply because they're mad that they're actually being held accountable for their behavior.

If you're willing to learn and listen and actually have a mature and respectful discussion then you'll find that most of us regulars are actually willing to help you out. That said though, don't expect any sympathy from others if all you're gonna do is yell and rage at those who disagree with the notion that your punishment was unjustified* (you in the general sense I mean).

*Very rarely there are threads where there's enough evidence to show that the punishment was indeed unjustified, but they are very few and far between.

If not saying things like racial or homophobic slurs, nor harassing and flaming my teammates for the smallest flaw is considered "mastering language," then yes, I've done this.

Also, 99.9999999999999% of the time on these boards, the people who come to bitch and complain that they've been "banned for no reason" or ask "what is ban-worthy in these logs" cannot see the ugliness in themselves to realize how despicable their behavior is. They clearly have not learned anything about how to improve as humans if they've gotten to the point of permanent banning, and sometimes it takes the frank, brutal baseball bat of reality to hit them so they can understand just how awful their behavior is that warranted in a ban.

Also, schadenfreude.

Only in a world this shitty could you even try to say these were innocent people and keep a straight face.

¯_(ヅ)_/¯

Honestly, I think this board primarily exists to deflect complaints away from Riot support. Most of the threads here are fairly pointless, both in terms of discussion value and in actionable information.

So judge us if you must, but the way I see it, people who voluntarily wade into this quagmire are accepting any feedback, for better or for worse.
