Blocked players should NOT be in my matchmaking

This crap needs to stop. I don't know of a single person who blocks someone because they want to play with them again.

Reasons people block others

  1. Players Behavior
  2. Players Mouth

People get blocked for a reason.

How would this impact the game?

Blocked people

  • They don't get to match make as quickly and thus is a punishment in itself and a big sign of saying change your ways.
  • Plus the only people they don't match with are the ones that have blocked them. So no trolling of people.

People Blocking

  • Peace of mind knowing you won't get saddled with the guy who is intentionally feeding, being an idiot in chat, or LEAVING before the game barely starts.

*Perk for Riot People eventually get blocked enough they won't be able to match make with anyone thus requiring them to start over with a new account, new skins, and everything. Chance for more $$$.

Also, this would be an automated system requiring no oversight.

They've talked about this, actually -- it severely damages the integrity of ranked play, especially at higher MMRs where pools are smaller and players could simply block people they don't think are good enough to be on their team, or people who play the roles they normally like to play.

It's unfortunate, but it can't be done -- it doesn't really work to say "you're good enough now that you CAN'T block people," and if you allow it it could cripple high MMR ranked -- something that was proven in OverWatch recently.

blocking is more of a perma mute to the player, I have a list a long list of blocked people

The reason this doesn't happen is because you could simply block players that are better than you. Overwatch originally had a similar feature, but it ended up with the world's best widowmaker having 100+ bocks because of how good he was

That is a good point about ranked. So how about making the system only in non-ranked games?

I admit I don't play ranked, I don't care for the atmosphere. So I have no clue how that would roll over.

But in normals or twisted or ARAM it's getting excessively old to get into the same games with people who intentionally feed, intentionally go afk, or have a mouth on them that would make drunk sailors cringe.

I get how blocked works. It means I don't have to see their stuff. But I still get matched with them, there needs to be another way to not have to deal with terds and no Tribunal is not a fix of any kind because the same people who were pulling this crap a year ago are still at it.
