too much ego, too much apathy. I think to put it bluntly, no one gives a single fuck no matter what. People will go out of their way to disparage others for no rational reason whatsoever. Everyone has the mentality that they are a protagonist and needs to play a 1v9 every single game. There is nothing other than flaming and complaining in chat. 95% of all of my games are determined by which person starts flaming first. Its honestly pathetic. I'm not sure any ranked reform is going to make NA solo q seem competitive, I think the region is just too far gone at this point.

I just had a game where the score was 11-1, our midlaner decides to start flaming the team for no reason, then splits the rest of the game meaning we can't press our advantage anymore and pressure objectives. he spams ff the second it hits 15 minutes. The only reason I'm making this post now is because this situation reminded me about how often people just give up for no specific reason. I'm not just talking about "oh we lost a teamfight gg," I'm talking about "oh hey my team is doing well I think I need to hold them back because idc." What? do people in solo q want control over other people so bad that they will exert it in any way possible? Even if it means losing themselves lp in the process? Honestly, it feels like a struggle to play this game amidst its balance changes and its community.

So much of our problems would be fixed if some form of identification was required to play (at least Ranked).

/fullmute all every game. Not worth trying to be people's therapist anymore. Just play and try to help the person on your team who is playing well or who is capable of helping carry. If you can destroy your lane completely and roam, it makes it easier to tilt the other team before yours does. As long as you can tilt the enemy team in 55% of your games faster than your team tilts, you'll climb out of this shithole.

NA has the toxic, "just for fun" atmosphere. They aren't there to win the game. They are there because everyone else is and they have to sqwuak and wiggle with the rest of the flock.
