A system to punish Ping Misuse

Pings are a communication tool intended to allow easier and quicker communication between roles. However this tool is more commonly used to '?' ping players in a sense of toxicity to as if to ask "what were you thinking" rather than the intended "enemy missing". A system that would allow players who are reported for misuse of pings that would result in an inability to use pings for a set period of time, could prove to better the usage of the system and hopefully relieve the community of players who use the system to aggravate each other. The toxicity problem in the game largely derives from people feeding off of each other's negativity, hopefully something like this would make it harder to grief their teammates without resorting to a chat system where they can be reported for harassment.

“More commonly” - where is your source for this?

Too many uses of any one type of ping for any sort of automatic system to tell if it was being misused or not. There's also already a limit to how many pings someone can use within a set period of time. If someone is starting to use pings to just "?" mistakes, mute their pings.

I guess you want enemies punished for spamming emotes when they stomp you too right?

Well that figures for the league community; a bunch of people offended over my post, blaming it on "leftists and snowflakes and whiny millennial" despite the fact that the issue of people misusing the ping system happens to be cross-regional and I myself watch arguments devolve from spam pings when i play on Oceania. I didn't particularly expect this to be taken seriously though. Most of you want to just sit here and complain and pick fights, its why you play league. I just don't particularly think muting a persons pings is any better than them not being able to ping; either way you are unable to communicate properly due to the fact players frequently misuse tools in an attempt to grief their team.

No one uses pings purely for belittling their teammates. I don’t want to be placed on a team with someone who cannot ping.

I also wish chat restriction wasn’t a thing, since that hinders communication. These players should just get a 1- or 2-day suspension instead.
