Do you choose to surrender?

I am getting really sick of a surrender vote happening every game. I feel like I can't remember the last time I saw a nexus go down. I understand that it is more fun to win and if you are losing you would rather just leave and start a new game where hopefully you win. However, I think maybe if we stop surrendering we might collectively learn better how to play while you are down. Is losing really a waste of time or is it a time to learn how to play better?

Im getting really sick of people never surrending. Even if the score is 20 - 6 and our top laner has been afk for 10 minutes+ after writing "k bye" because he went 0/3 in lane, they wont fucking surrender in my games. And this even was a normal game. Like.. bruh

The issue is how snowbally and uncommon big come backs are this season. Sure it happens but most of the time in solo q you can tell when the game is over. Why waste time drawing out the inevitable? Especially when the enemy team is taunting you rubbing in the eventual loss. Now if I was in a pre-mad with friends thats a different story. Coordination can win a losing game. Solo Q just sucks ass right now and needs vast improving because its not pleasant at all.

People would be more inclined to playing a game out if over half of those situations you didn't have someone whining or generally being toxic. I noticed half the time people surrender, even if there is a decent chance you could make a comeback is because you will have that guy who complains about your elo.

Sometimes its better to just move on is why.

Its one thing if people give in too easily, its another when its like 30-5, they have several dragons and maybe even baron, and most your towers.

The same can basically be said about your title in reverse. Why is there diehard idiots that NEVER SURRENDER even when the game is clearly lost. I run into those people almost as often as I see these people that give up too easily. And I either afk farm til the game ends or literally afk. I don't hold any malice to people that do that as well. If there is 2 diehard people then just AFK and force a loss. Easier that way. At least 1 can be overruled.

If it's ranked I don't believe in surrendering, though I'm sure I've given in to frustration and hit agree sometimes. I am not going to fault someone for not quitting an official match.

In norms I will go along even if I feel it's winnable if my team is clearly not enjoying it. I want to get as much lane practice as possible anyway. I won't auto agree but im more liberal with its usage.

Of course if someone is raging or downing people in the game and wants a surrender I won't agree. I don't want to reinforce that behavior. If the rest of the team wants to be rid of them and votes I will agree, but not if its started by someone toxic.

if you are trying to gain IP and ranks then surrender. if you are trying to get better then dont surrender.

Sometimes it improves you, however, being stuck in an obviously losing game for 30-60 minutes puts people on tilt and lowers the value of their other games. There are games where it's very clear why we are not going to win, i.e. Top lane is 0/11/2 and keeps getting killed and no one else could pick up that kind of slack.

I want out. I want to move on. We do not need to rub his face in the poop and say bad dog, we need to move on.

Thank you for putting thought into your answers and helping me see it from your point of view! I am glad there are people out there who don't have to let emotion dictate their online profiles.
