Why are we required to take part in troll games?

One person rage-quits. Second person intentionally throws objectives.

Why are we required to stay in games like this, where players on our team are intentionally trying to lose?

Because then people begin looking for any reason they can to possibly be able to leave a match.

"My support got a doran item" leaves. "No leash, trolls." Leaves. Objective gets stolen, "jg gave away objective" leaves.

One person hits a lag spike and reloads the game, second person makes a bad objective call.

I sympathize with players in troll games, but how do we realistically establish parameters within which leaving a game is acceptable? Putting the power in the hands of a player to objectively identify trolls is a scary proposition.

Because this is teaching you real life lessons, about not giving up when others around you are.

I recommend you read "If" by Rudyard Kipling.

Idk about games being canceled because someone left on purpose or not, but it's been said for years that the system should be able to recognize that master yi left at 15 minutes in and thats the reason it was a loss and reduce the lp lost from that game. So instead of losing 18 you lose 9 because it gives you a "well we get why it happened" discount.

But i doubt something like that would ever be implemented. the biggest problem with adding things that players want is that when they do it, it admits that what they had before wasn't the best and/or wasn't in the players best interest, and getting riot games to ever admit any wrongdoing is like walking a cow from california to new york.

I'm confused - was surrender voting removed from the game? Or are you looking for something that allows 1 person to make their team surrender if there's an AFK/leaver?

you aren't required to do anything. if you don't like a game you can use the exit button. people forget it's there.

"but i'm being held hostage cause they won't surrender"

only one holding you hostage is yourself. you refuse to leave.

because players are not reliable at judging when someone is trolling

Because the alternative is letting people afk unpunished. Whats your idea behind this question? Do you have any improvements to add?
