Less Toxic Things to Say

The amount of toxicity in League probably doesn't come as much of a surprise to anyone. However, lashing out at your teammate who's having a bad game isn't going to help anything and more than likely, it'll only make the situation worse. First time i tried to shaco in pvp, i screwed up massively at the start and mid and top kept harassing me about it for the rest of the game, which in turn made me super self conscious about any move i could make and really threw off my game. Not to mention they spent so much time typing they weren't focusing on their own lanes. We lost the game relatively quickly. Now, if they had given constructive criticism instead of being total children about it, we might have won. That wasn't my first time seeing teammates being toxic to each-other and it certainly wasn't the last. So, in hopes of reducing the chance of that happening, even if a little, I'm going to make a list of things that could be said instead of the typical toxic or unhelpful comics in general.

"Stop feeding!" = "You seem to be having some trouble with your lane, try playing a bit more passive and stay closer to tower till you get caught up again." or "Try getting some magic resist/armor (depending on their opponent)" "WTF MAN!?" = Don't say anything. Seriously, its not going to end well. "Useless Jg" = Give friendly tips on what they're doing wrong or how they could improve. "This -insert champ name here- Is stupid,retarded, ect" = This is not helpful in any way and is only A. tilting them. B. partially tilting other members of your own team who are sick of having to hear this shit. and C. wasting time by typing when you could be winning your lane. "Stop being useless" = How are they "being useless?" Is it a jg not ganking? A laner way far behind their opponent? Don't just make a rude statement, give advice. Not participating in team fights? call them over to a team fight. they too low level? tell them to farm. "uninstall, noob" = Either say nothing or "You might want to try bots/ sandbox a bit more wit that champ. It can better help you master combos and find the perfect build.

I'll list others if i come across/recall more.

{edit: ok, think i finally have this in the right forum section)

Thank you SO much for taking the time to write this. I really do appreciate it! I also have a very very similar outlook on the game as you do and I am never this example of a toxic player. The ONLY time I am ever toxic is on a Friday/Saturday night after having some drinks and some child or immature adult starts being toxic then I let them have a taste of their own medicine.

I often MUTE immediately when someone says their first comment and follow up by saying something like;

Ive muted you so don't waste your time or mine by typing to me. Play the game and lets win.

On a side note, I also want to comment on what you mentioned about the typing and not paying attention to your lanes. This has happened sooo many times and even to myself as the one time being the victim of the toxic player. I was typing back (Always a bad idea to fuel the toxic fire...) and in my anger of replying to this azz hole I was ganked... when I really shouldn't have but hey... my own fault for standing around typing....

We need more positive people to play this game.

Yeah in an anonymous internet game I really don't care about being pc.

Have you had any more thoughts on this, in particular the length of responses, what might the fastest responses could be, or preset things we could type out ect
