How does Riot view emo behavior?

Title. I am guilty of really going off the emo deep end when I lose lane, saying stuff like, "All 9 of you better report me or I'm gonna hurt myself". It's how I've always handled stress or failure - I (literally) beat myself up a bit and forget about my emotional pain because my physical pain is so overwhelming.

Anyways, I've never gotten more than a chat restriction for stuff like this (and I only got it once) but does this seem like the sort of thing Riot doesn't want to see in their workplace? I applied for an internship and I was feeling like I had a solid, competitive application, but was turned down. Obviously I could just be not good enough, but do you think there's a chance that I had points taken off for my incessant emo 'tude in ingame chat?

Threatening to kill yourself is considered a rather horrible thing to do where I am from. Saying you are depressed and going to others is fine. Seeking help is more then ok, but threatening to kill yourself is really manipulative. It is like the diffrence between the following 2 sentences:

  1. I don't know how to go on anymore
  2. I will kill myself if you don't come back to me

sentence 1 shows depression, sentence 2 shows manipulation.

You basically gave a group of strangers the idea that if they do something wrong now, you would actually end your life. Some people will shrug it off as some sick joke but others will lose sleep over the fact that they might be partially responsible for the death of a fellow player. This stuff leaves people traumatized and is genuinely hurtful behaviour.

Also, where people in a normal situation could help you, these people are here to play a game and know nothing about you. You just made them feel guilty without them having any way to help you.

Don't do this, please.

That is a very unhealthy coping mechanism.

One of the things that therapy is good at is teaching new coping mechanisms.

I suggest seeking help.
