Getting ban for defending myself????

Can anyone honestly tell me how defending yourself is banable. In a recent match i was defending myself while my entire team was flamming me because i was playing poorly. But because I decided not to let just other flame me and put me down i stood up for myself and also asked people to report them, which they did. This then caused me to get a 14 day suspension. Since when is standing up for yourself banable in any other game. This is quite ridiculous, if this isn't fixed with in the next two days will be done playing this game and many others will come with me.

Define "defending yourself". Most times we see this argument it actually translates to "attacking back."

Chat logs would be helpful to identify what is actually going on here.

Retaliation =/= defense.

Defense = muting and reporting

Asking for reports, publicly saying that you'll report someone, publicly muting someone, and calling someone toxic or troll are all negative behaviors.

1 report does everything that 9 reports does. No need to ask for others to report.

Muting and reporting are private decisions, that should be used to defuse a situation. That is, if you mute someone, you stop caring what they're typing. If you decide to report someone, you can relax, knowing that the system will handle them so you don't have to be the one to punish them with insults. Saying publicly that you're doing either of those things escalates the situation. Making them more upset at you, and more likely to do things to cause a loss.

Calling someone toxic does nothing to stop their toxicity. If they were, report them after the game. You can also mute if you're done listening to them.

Calling someone a troll does one of two things. If the person was not trolling, you're abusing someone who was trying. This will influence them to play worse than before. If the person was trolling, 'calling them out' will encourage them that they got a response. This will influence them to play worse than before, to get another rise out of you. Wait, that means there's only one result, worse teammates who are more likely to lose the game.

Defend yourself with, "You're mistaken in your analysis" or some other variant of that idea, if you need to defend yourself. But, don't go overboard. The more time you spend typing in response to toxicity, the less you're playing the game. Mute helps, if you can't help responding to people. Messages that don't communicate any gameplay information can be viewed poorly by the IFS.

I just mentioned this in another post.

If someone flames you either flame back or don't then report them. But don't be a b**ch, flame back, then ask for them to be reported. If you think that's valid...smh...

Getting ban for defending myself

No you didn't.

It depends on what you say when you defend yourself. Post your chat logs if you want feedback from the boards.

EDIT:

Here's an example of what I mean by "what you say when you defend yourself"

"I'm getting ganked by the jungler and mid is also occasionally roaming into my lane with the jungler and doing 4 man ganks. There isn't much I can do when I'm getting 3 man and 4 man ganked with tower divers." vs "Mid is a noob and doesn't know how to use pings and can't control their laner and is fucking horrible and our jungler fucking sucks and doesn't gank and only farms the jungle. I can't do anything because they're so ahead that they can tower dive me because you fucking bronze players don't know how to play the game"

Both are standing up for yourself... One is not flaming and one is flaming...

Yea ok lets see the chat logs and we will see if you deserve the ban. You know there is such thing as muting and then reporting, that's how you defend yourself. You don't flame, troll, or be toxic back which is always the case with someone "defending" themselves.

Can't really say without seeing the logs they gave you.
