If I've been banned do my reports count for nothing?

So about a year ago I was very toxic and banned once. I've changed now, I don't flame at all and try to be just real passive aggressive if people flame me. However a lot of the time when someone's hardcore flaming I'll give them a report and note down the things they said, my friends who haven't been banned do this to players in their games too, they always get messages like 'Thanks for the feedback, the player has been punished'. I never get these, and when I say hardcore flaming I mean hardcore, when people are throwing around racial slurs, telling people to kill themselves, telling them they'll find them and kill them etc. I never get any messages talking about how these players have been punished.

So because of my ban a year ago, does riot just stick the finger to my reports?
