I got banned without warning?

Hey so I'm a returning player, and I played 3 games last week all of which went poorly. The last game for me however pushed me over the edge, I was selected to play support only to be greeted by a player selected as adc who said they can't possibly play the role and HAD to support. Trying to be a good team mate I agreed and took adc. They proceeded to instalock an amumu support. Off meta picks are fine and whatever, but then he started taking my creeps and attacking them in such a way as to intentionally make me miss cs. I politely asked him to stop, to which his response was intentionally feeding a kill. I admit I lost it, I threatened to dc (which I did not do) and then other team members took amumu side, they started calling me a "retard" and I kinda just gave up. I admit that I took the bait, and flamed them back and maybe I deserve the ban because of it, but I really feel that I was 100% justified. I did everything I could initially to let the game go as smoothly as possible, I get trolled, then I get banned for reacting poorly? What justice is that?

The second game used for justifying my ban was also from over 6 months ago, and while I understand toxic behavior doesn't necessarily have a timeline, we all have bad days don't we?

I do apologize for my toxic behaviour, but a 14 day ban for 2 games six months apart is a bit extreme, especially when it can be proven that I was trolled in both before I became toxic (Second game we had an afk). If I had been given a warning before hand that is one thing, but I wasn't, and both of my offenses are reactionary.

What is it with you guys and your grossly exaggeration and misrepresentation of the truth????

I get that you haven't played in a while so you don't know. But because that game is ranked and you are on the same NA server as me, I can download the replay of that game and watch it in full.

The amumu looks like he is trying to prime the creep for you to last hit a few times. Then he may had taken 6,7 cs, nothing more than what a support might had taken in a typical game. The amumu DID NOT intentionally feed a kill. You died first, then he died UNDER HIS TURRET.

Here's the part of the story you left out for the people here. At around the 8-9 minute mark, you did a lot more than just lost it and flame back did you? You followed the nunu around the jungle attempting to take his creep. Then you go mid, abandoning you bot lane, to take mid cs and troll mid lane....

So first off, the system doesn't care about time between games where you are toxic, it cares about games between games where you're toxic. You took a break from the end of May until just a few days ago, so there haven't been that many games to demonstrate that you normally keep your cool.

Beyond that, there's certain words and phrases that are will get you to skip the 10 game chat restriction and the 25 game chat restriction and take you straight to a 14 day ban. If you haven't ever had a chat restriction on your account, then you probably crossed the line there. If you have had a chat restriction before, then there's a chance that this was just the bump up the punishment ladder.

If you want more precise feedback, you could post your chat logs.

The time between punishments does not change your level of punishment. It can be 6 months or 6 years if your last game was a warning and your next game is reported, you'll be punished.

I don't think that this thread should be downvoted. It's a part of the game that people don't really know about but really should.

Taking a break from the game is not a show that you've reformed. Actually playing the game without punishment is a show of reform.

It may seem obvious to many, it's not.

Morally, you may have been in the right. But the rules are not about morals. Its about stopping people from spending their time flaming eachother in game, regardless who started it. Just keep that in mind. Its about following the rules, full stop. Theres never a reason to break them. If this was real life, sure, you may have been justified.

If one game they gave you was from 6 months ago, it's because you left and hadn't played since then. The reports don't go down unless you continually play positive games.

It's like saying you play one game today, it gets reported, that's logged in there and then you quit for 3-4 years come back get reported for something else, the same thing would have happened. You have to consistently play games positively to make them see you're not deserving of the punishment as time won't change what's already been logged into the system.
