Early surrenders and why i like them

I'm not sure how many other ppl experience this but im just goin to put it out there......... I really HATE long games of league that end in defeat, they really bore and anger me. I get the NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER mentality but in all honestly it's more depressing to me because I really hate the game alot of the times when this happens, like I would rather play a 15-18 min game and lose fast then play a long 30-33 min drawn out game that results in me losing and that makes me frustrated. I understand people want to win and so do I but league nowadays requires so much knowledge and a decent amount of mechanics to be able to win, and that just because you believe doesn't actually mean that you have a chance to win when the enemy is trying their hardest to win as well; most ppl try to say that what is the enemy throws it by running it down or that we scale better. In my case I've only won like 3% of my games like that because in my experience once you start reaching the higher tiers of GOLD I and above most teammate I have had either can't farm properly, rotate correctly, or even team fight w/o dying. And once that happens I just feel like there is no point in playing anymore because the game is already set then and most of the players that are the reasons for us losing are "trying to stay positive" or saying "there no harm in trying" or "let just try to have _FUN_" or some drivel like that and I just get even more angry. Because while they are the reason for us losing they don't want to give up and just go to a new game and then they do the fun thing of voting NO when 3/5 ppl just want to go to a new game; and the game just feels like its being held hostage by 2 by ppl saying they think they can win but when the honest trust is they just aren't goin to. But something that really angers me is that RIOT for some reason even though they installed an early surrender its nearly impossible to make happen because there is always just 1 and I really mean 1 person who thinks the game is winnable when 4/5 just want to move on and that one person makes me really angry. Like I know im coming off as super toxic but I just want to play and win(I enjoy winning) but if the game is kinda over by like the 10-15 min mark I just don't feel like im enjoying the "game" at that point and i just get more infuriated playing a game that i think know i will lose in 30 min instead of just quitting this current one and trying again in a new game. Maybe im in the minority but this is just how I feel; and i would really like it if RIOT changes the surrender vote to 4/1 for early surrenders and 3/2 for 20+ min games.

Imo, I prefer a mix of short and long games.

Long games are only nice because of short games. As it is, the games that are long end up feeling like a huge strategy game, where you have to plan out everything in advance because one wrong move could send the game spiraling to defeat, but if every game was long, it'd be boring as fuck and would feel drawn out. Shorter games are usually fast-paced and have little waiting time, so there's lots of exciting teamfights and things happening all the time, but if it's only short games it'd start to feel unfun due to there just being no room to come back from, and you just kinda roll over the enemy team or get rolled over.

If it's a mix both feel fun. If it's too much of one or the other, though, it feels boring.

your problem is you like early surrender cause you like winning and if a game is "unwinnable" by the 15/20 min mark then you don't even want to put in the effort of even trying and want to ff early. that is a stupid excuse for ff and you and i both know that. maybe for once if you play to have fun and not actually win then you'll mentally win more often. sure you may lose the game but if you at least had fun then you still win. and no, winning and having fun are NOT the same so dont even play that card. "what about the trolls who afk or feed?" you ask. don't worry about them. worry about only yourself. someone flaming in chat for god knows why? mute them and keep playing. "i'm being held hostage by two players who dont want to ff" if you truly truly want to the leave the game cause it is unwinnable then simply leave the game by clicking on the exit button next to the surrender button. sure you'll lose your oh so precious lp but if the game is unwinnable and you lose you'll still lose lp anyway so you're screwed either way with that aspect. but by disconnecting you won't be held hostage and you'll be able to enter a new game in a few minutes (reconnect too soon and it puts you back in the game you were just in). but a competitive player like you probably doesn't know HOW to have fun or simply doesn't care about having fun and only care about winning. if that is your wheelhouse then so be it. i am simply giving a suggestion.

I take Gathering Storm in 99% games.

my favorite games are the ones that last over 50 min. Even if its a loss i feel the same satisfaction that i would get if i won it, and its way more fun than 30 min victory. comeback from a game that people usually surrender at 15 for are usually the long fun games i seek, but 99% of the time it wont happen if 1 or more person gives up (just playing wont be enaugh for a real comeback)

if you are playing for the sake of winning and you try to get rid of loses as soon as possible, you shouldnt seek a competitive game. looking for another game to replace league, i am doing it since i am looking for a competitive game that is more "fair" but its quite hard to find one that gets me the intense feeling from 50 min league games (happens less and less since riot acts more like a buisiness)
