Banned For saying the N word in one game
- I just got a ban because i typed the N word cuz i was tilted. I mean ok give a chat ban or so, but no they give me 14 day suspention :c. Isn't this to harsh Riot?

Hate speech is worse than your every day "You suck" toxicity. Thus why it's punished more severely.
Thats one of their "zero tolerance" words. Those words skip chat restrictions and are escalated straight to a 14 day ban.
raging and cussing is one thing, hate speech yeah 0 tolerance is the ONLY policy to have.

and like someone said if you decide to type that word in game again, even months later your account will be perma banned

The result of your ignorance is well deserved with the one exception being that it should have been permanent. RIOT don't understand what zero tolerance actually means. They might say it but they themselves are just as ignorant.

I'm on this guy's side with this. Someone can call someone else a cr#cker, ch#nk, f#ggot, whatever, and that's fine. Nobody gets banned for that unless it's excessive and prolonged. Call someone the n-word once and you've earned yourself a 14 day suspension?
Give the guy a warning and then chat restrict him like everything else. What, do we think black people just can't handle it like everyone else can and does? It's not okay to make vulgar comments about anyone, that's a given, but to give one ethnic group privilege when it comes to controlling offensive language is undemocratic and inappropriate. If you do it for one group of people, do it for everyone; if you're going to have a system purposed for administering punishments, have them be uniform and just.
And no, don't 14 day suspend every account, Riot. Give warnings and drop honour levels.

I got a permaban just now so yeah, it's not ok to get a 14 day ban just for saying that. Who in the hell even cares about what you type in-game?
It's just ridiculous to get a ban for 14 days, especially to start with. I mean, it's something that happened in the chat district of the game. So give the person who doesn't respect the chat policy first a warning or a chat ban for x amount of time (depends on the amount of times the person cussed with words).if he didn't learn his lesson after that, give him a ban for a week, afterwards 2 weeks, a month and after that permaban. That seems reasonable for me. In case people wonder, yes i also have a 14 day ban for exactly the same reason. ( 1 game with 3 sentences of flaming )
