Why can't I go through a single game, even norms, without being flamed/spam pinged the entire game for literally everything? I'm on a new account level 12 trying to level it up and I was being flamed for playing a champion I've never played before and losing on. The toxic community this game has makes me want to uninstall.
Because league of legends forces you to rely on your teammates at one level or another.
With the reduction in solo carry potential over the last few seasons, we are seeing a mandatory minimum teamwork level. Accompany this with the many different playstyles and ideas each individual has, and you get this toxic shit show :P
If my bot lane fails, they just made my next 15 to 20 minutes harder. If my jungle fails, we now have to worry about the severe lack of neutral objectives if we make it to late game. If someone has to leave the game, or someone gives up early on and tries to ff repeatedly, we are down a player.
Because Riot has done literally everything they can for years to ruin individual player skill meaning something in a game, so people get overwhelmingly frustrated and pissed because they can't do anything when they win their lane but someone else messes up. Toxicity is caused by bad game design which causes intense frustration when things are literally not your fault. I wouldn't get mad at the game if we weren't in a "One shot or be one shot" meta, which is countered by the "Perma-CCed" sub-meta, which isn't any more fun to play against realistically. Edit: What I mean by lacking individual skill expression is solo-carrying is basically impossible without a seriously broken champion.

Because a lot of people who play league genuinely have anger issues/ other issues and can't accept it. Very few people are going to flame someone at their skill level for making a poor play who are 100% okay mentally. They're kind of the road ragers of league.
Because people are trying to bait you into a chat war to get your account banned.
