My take on this Nubrac bullshit

So unless you live under a rock or are just now getting to the boards you probably haven't heard of this situation. Basically, a guy named Nubrac picks Teemo support and goes to other lanes supporting them instead of bot. This caught Nighblue3 who afk'd that game and reported Nubrac, Nubrac was later banned and Reddit, the boards, discords, and Twitter have been talking about it. Pro's, and other streamers sharing their take on it(mostly against Nubrac)

Nubrac really begs the question of off meta. Is it ok to pick whatever you want so long as you have the intent at heart of trying to win. And the answer for me is no.

For me, off meta is a different style of play that forces you to play differently because you wanted to. The difference between this and Nubrac is that Nubrac forces his teammates to play differently around him, if he goes mid than guess what his bot laner is FORCED to soak the xp, get dived, and have a lane the feels like hell. If he goes mid than it forces his mid to play around the lane that being 1v2, she won't be able to get xp as fast and same with the bot laner because he/she is being zoned. To me, this is absolutely trolling and I agree that Riot should ban him, however, if he wants to appeal the ban that's fine. If he simply went bot lane Teemo support, then I'd be on his side if he was banned, especially considering who banned him..

Now I've hated and I mean HATED Nightblue. I think he's cringe, unfunny, and has started drama with WAAAAAAAAYYYYYY to many other content creators. But this really proved why I hate him even more, the manner in which he was a jerk infuriated me and it really seems like everyone in the lol community feels the same. He pulled the "Riot friend" card, he was shaking his ass off while threatening Nubrac, he was very verbally abusive and he also left the game. If Nubrac got banned for what he did which was 1 punishable offense in Riots book than Nightblue broke 3 of those rules according to Riots report system.

If you're gonna ban Nubrac, then ban NB3, if you're gonna free Nubrac, then do nothing.

TL;DR: I side with Nubrac basically only because it's against NB3.

He pulled the "Riot friend" card

Quote from Riot WookieCookie on Reddit:

"This player in particular popped up on our radar a few weeks ago and we decided to not take action at that time because playing Teemo in this method is not against our rules.

However, after reviewing the continued reports we were receiving (from multiple sources) a pattern was forming where this targeted off meta behavior was occurring most often in games when the player was with a high profile streamer."

The Master/Challenger community as a whole hated Nubrac. Just because he tried to justify his strategy does not mean they didn't see it as trolling.

Here are some quotes from some popular League personalities displaying that almost everyone hated him.

ForestWithin -

"Half of reddit unironically defending nubrac is so disgusting - the kid actively ruins every game by picking teemo support and laning top/mid. Sitting invis in the middle of lane soaking xp while bot is 2v1 hahahah. This shit isn’t revolutionizing the meta it’s 400 games 48% wr"

IreliaCarriesU -

"nubrac has been a troll since season 4, i don't know why anyone is pitying him for the ban... no one signs up to play duo mid and solo adc when they queue for ranked, its an obvious stunt and people are falling for it. if anything nightblue did the high elo community a favor"

Jensen -

"imagine having a teemo support soaking xp mid and calling it a 'off meta strat' 🤣🤣

hopefully i'll never have to experience this strat :)"

Doublelift -

"guys if I was in my promo and game 5 a teemo support ran mid and soaked xp while I got zoned 1v2 I would 100% report it no questions asked"

TL;DR: I side with Nubrac basically only because it's against NB3.

So you're openly admitting to being biased.

Anyways, yes, NB5 should be held accountable for his actions as well.
