Ideas to reduce toxicity in ranked league play

Guys... league has become one of the most toxic communities in the world. I'm only been playing since season 5 but I've seen a dramatic increase in toxicity over the past couple years.

Why are people toxic? Cuz league makes you feel great if you win and terrible if you lose.

My solution: make people feel way less bad when they lose.

Details: If someone on your team afks and your team loses, have the person who afked lose 25LP and the rest of the team lose 10LP.

If someone on your team ints and has a KDA of like 2 14 3, the person who tilted and fed loses 25LP and the rest of the team lose 10LP.

If you play extremely well, like 14 2 14 KDA the rest of the team plays like trash and you lose, you should lose 10LP.

If you come back and win a heavily losing game, you should get 25LP.

If you play like trash and win, you should only get 15LP.

Basically, this system will make people more personally responsible and will incentivize people to:

  1. Don't surrender because if you come back you get more LP.
  2. Don't tilt when 1 team member is inting, you are only going to lose 10 LP.
  3. Don't get punished and pissed off when someone AFKs. (why TF should I lose 20LP and need to win 2 games just because someone clearly afked?)
  4. If you play really well, you won't be punished as much, so people who are good will be less likely to just give up.

PLEASE TRY TO POKE SOME HOLES IN MY PROPOSED SYSTEM. I feel like this is common sense and I don't see why Riot isn't actively trying to prevent toxicity in the community.

so, you have a 5v5 your top laner is the best player in your team, but your teamate banned his main and he is now in a lane vs another top lane main that counter picked him. he plays fiora/riven top but has to pick tank since the team doesnt have any. the enemy mid roams while jg ganks, both on top lane only since their top laner can scale well your ally mid laner is boosted but now has no laner to worry about top lanerget 0/5/3 at the end of the game and the ally mid who got ez lane for free is 1/2/2 why should the top laner who gets the shitt of the entire enemy team on him and manage to hold them off for half the game lost more LP than the mid laner who couldnt farm and wasnt usefull at all?

+kda isnt even near reflecting how good a player is i started league in bronze 5 and am now in gold (was in gold 2 promo for gold 1 but am now in huge losing streak) and i never have a great kda its not like i got lucky, its just that my playstyle isnt playing for good kda. if afk gets-25 LP and the rest - 10 lp we just need a kind soul to decide to afk at the moment the enemy team hit the nexus so that everyone else lose less LP for no reason at all while people who dont want to do that sacrifice will just lose 10 LP.

this isn't gonna work. you find one solution for toxicity and people will find another reason to be toxic. long as winning and losing is an important factor to people there will always be toxic. if every single person who plays can stop for a minute and think 'wait, is this even fun anymore? is there even any value to winning? is the victories even earned anymore? is there even an incentive to win at this point other than for glory and gloating?' if everyone just pondered that they would see that this game went from having fun with friends to trash talking and flaming at every single person they play with. and what does get Riot get out of it? item 3400 item 3400 item 3400 that's what. they care not about what people want or think or do. long as they get money they can do whatever they damn well want. the point is the toxic will never go away long as people take the game too seriously. which they will. look at Worlds. 24 teams of nothing but competitive players for the reward of a mantle piece decoration and gloating rights. once people see there is no point to even winning anymore then maybe, maybe, there will be a sliver of a chance of toxic going down.

your lp loss/gain is based off of match history win/loss ratio, not the performance you display in a prticular game
