Why do you focus more on what players say than how they behave.

Rioters toss the word "toxic" around quite a bit, but almost never when referring to a players actions as opposed to what they say. This annoys me. Ive played this game for about 3 years now and ive done my best to remain positive or, at worst, not say anything to other players. I feel like the tribunal system has created an environment where players actions arent taken into consideration when it comes to punishment. If you are so concerned with our feelings and making sure players remain respectful, why would you implement emotes for people to spam. Why don't you punish players who will literally march into the enemy towers, build troll items, or purposefully give the enemy team the advantage unless they clearly tell you in chat that that's what they are going to do? Is it impossible to create a system where people can watch games and determine whether a player should be banned or not? Have you ever thought about delegating the responsibility to players who would volunteer their time for it? I am very frustrated with this game at this point because no matter how many reports i make, i continue to run into players who are incredibly disrespectful with what they say, and their actions in game. I feel like the focus needs to be directed to actions instead of words because if you someone says something vile, you can mute them. What you can't do is control their actions

it's much easier to catch toxicity in chat than it is int feeding or trolling. Some people are just really bad at the game, and punishing someone for not being good isn't a good way to get people to play your game.

I've always said, it's more dangerous in this game to be the person reacting to the troll than the actual troll.

Easier to identify? Riot Lyte? SJW influence?

Problem is, it hasn't really solved the toxicity[sp] / negativity, it's only made it more passive aggressive with the marginally smarter league players.

Cause riot dont know how to handle an actual report system.

Behavior like intentional feeding, emote spamming and afk is still punished.

Kei14310/8/2016, 9:13:09 AM2 votes

ping spams and purposely trolling is also punishable.

You assume that since one is easier to find than the other that Riot only takes actions against toxicity when that couldn't be farther than the truth. Than of course since only toxic people complain about their bans it's all you ever see (on the board) so you get a false sense that only those types of people are getting punished.

Because it's harder to stop the actions of toxicity, riot focuses on stopping the reactions of toxicity, which is usually verbal. By enforcing rules against verbalizing the toxicity it creates a small little bubble where it seems like the system is working, when in actuality it only seems like it might be working because you're not hearing about it.

Riot doesn't give af about people in bronze and silver, regardless of why they are there.

I believe it is an overall behavior. they dont just say "GTFO" is someone is reported. it gets placed into a que and looked into. Cant say for sure since none of us work there. invest in some game recording software and send the footage to riot, anyone can type out a rant or a story. got back it up with links and proof. if not, its just another post waiting to be voted up/down. feelsbadman still.

personaly if a player flames a player who trolls i will not report him,but flaming other teammates just because they are bad is unacceptable. someone might say,a toxic player is a toxic player in every game, but i dont agree to this,i have seen people just curse others in the train because they didnt let them through or ladies with babies getting cursed at for bringing their crying baby in the cinema.i think that theres a thin line between times when flaming is acceptable and times when its not.Not all flamers are the bad people you imagine, and not every teammate is a victim.after all i can mute a flamer but i cant vote kick a troller.

You won't find any logical answer to it, because there is no logical answer to it.

I think they try, but it's really hard. It seems like they don't maybe because so many players make threads about the terrible things that were said to them. So it seems like all Riot cares about is toxicity cuz that's the majority of what people bitch about. Or at least a large portion of it.

I agree actions speak louder than words. Some players swear their butt off but they are genuinely passionate about winning and that's why they get agitated when another player refuses to play properly on purpose. While the other player is clever and is trolling but will not say anything to avoid a ban. All they need is a replay system attached with reports. So they look at the replay and see if they trolling and ban. ** They are adding a replay system next season in which you can store your own games replay on your computer's hard drive. If they allow us to report players through a ticket system we could potentially attach these replays as attachments and send them to riot and if they do review them they would be able to catch the trolls in the act and thus easily ban them without question.**

So hopefully OP the shift from what they say to what they do could happen pretty soon...

Yes. Riot created the mute button so that players can mute toxic players or players they feel that offends them. Why perma ban those players? I have a friends who's sommoner name is kanweyest and he's been got for months from what I've seen and 3 premade players in this one game did not like how he "let" vayne die so they all flamed him and ganged up on him. They all reported him and riot wont give his account back. They don't see that some people cannot be pure af. Some people just need to defend themselves. Why rely on that perma ban system. Why not just suspend toxic players at least? If you are going to perma ban someone, perma ban intentional feeders who let their team down intentionally...
