Should you report a ragequitter if your team does better once he leaves?

Because I just had a jungler like that. Never ganked me and blamed me because he got caught in his jungle. But as soon as he left we started racking up kills left and right and feeling a lot better, so really, his absence actually improved everyone's experience this game.

Of course, the damage was already done by the time he left, and the loss did knock me down a tier. If possible, could someone remove my demotion and give it to him instead?

Yes, you should report a ragequitter, even if their leaving actually improved the situation however much.

No, it's not possible to have a demotion undone or pushed over to another player. If he was on the verge of being demoted, then on top of getting a punishment for leaving, he'll sink a division. If you want to go back up a division, climb your way back up.

technically no since leavebuster works without reports. but it cant hurt.

I would still report them. Just because that specific game went better without the person, doesn't mean every game will do better without that person.

It's not fair to cherry pick punishable behavior by the outcome of the game. Rage quitting is leaving regardless of whether or not your team wins or loses the game.

leaverbuster handles players who disconnect like that, no matter if they're reported or not. the reportable version of "AFK" is me sitting at the fountain, running back and forth at base, camping in a lane bush for 1:30+ etc.

but if someone does something wrong and you won anyway, it doesn't excuse the fact that they still did a wrong though. and unfortunately under no circumstances can a demotion/loss be reversed unless it was a riot server issue.

Well, I see from my Lee's match history that he hasn't received any consequences from his rage quittery that I can detect. Is rage quitting punished more harshly than normal quitting, because I think it should be.

I would not because LeaverBuster is already handling that by itself. I'm way too lazy to do something that has simply no use or effect.
