i just had my account for 10 years banned because of a random, common argument. nothing but bullshit period.

How many punishments have you had? How many chat restrictions and 2 weeks? How often did you even play on the account?

You were punished for relatively recent behavior, not what you said or did 10 years ago. And for what it's worth, your infractions were wiped clean about 4 years ago when they updated the punishment system.

It's impossible to get banned if you have any self control. You can respond in ways that aren't punishable, you decided not to.
Terms and agreements
Couple things, shouldn't have been toxic, demeaning, or whatever you were in the argument. Or you should've just muted them. Be the bigger person.
You probably called them some nasty name or told him to do something else. But only logs will hold the truth.
One argument will not get you permanently banned. And yes, if you are clean for a time, your position on the punishment scale decreases. But you have to be ACTUALLY clean, not 'just barely not awful enough to not get another punishment'.
I like how you swing around numbers like "10 years" and "7 years" as a way to make it seem like your infractions are way further in the past than they really are, as anybody who is willing to check your previous discussion is able to check.
Infractions do get wiped if you have played enough games and enough time has passed. You simply did not meet the requirements yet.
As a little sidenote: I very much love the title of this thread compared to the one of your 14-day ban.
