These guys clearly haven't read the proper safety manuals or taken any training.

Working the backside...
I'd work the front end first. Wax it or simply apply some polish depending on condition and prior maintenance schedules. Such a thing needs regular services too, as it can use quite a lot of oil. However, a single owner for such a thing would be preferred (rather a must, to be honest) if you are to get it used.
Also, as you can tell by such a grill, this particular thing was fortunately designed to be driven smoothly instead of hard and fast. The intake covers are not big enough to suggest otherwise. In my mind, a gaping intake means it's a performance thing, and it prefer speed over comfort.
In any case, when having such a pristine model, it's important to pop the hood and do a close, visual inspection on a regular basis. Use the hands to feel for anything out of the ordinary. There may be some slight, initial resistance, but nothing should feel rigid if you do it right. Also, using something to poke around, and especially checking the undercarriage for any leaking fluids is also very important to do on occasion. If it is leaking, it just needs a quick service to be kept reliable.
Or if we are to talk about the car, I certainly wouldn't bother fitting a stereo in that Chevelle. I'm not a heretic either - the pedal on the right would be plenty! I should know: I have owned a older, american 5.0 L petrol V8 vehicle. Didn't go fast, but damn it did sound good!
